Ohio State's football and Men's basketball are both ranked #1 in the AP poll. This is the third team this has happened to in History.

It's good to be a sports fan in Central Ohio.

Take a look at their out of conference schedules and tell me you honestly think they are the 3 best teams in the country. Ball State! Bowling Green! Northern Illinois! Vanderbilt! Some perennial powerhouses in that group.

OS did beat a fair Texas team - early with a Freshman at QB. Michigan crushed ND which proved itself only fair also...

Oh and then there's Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern, Iowa...

To be the best you have to beat the best.

Who needs a playoff when we can have discussions like this...

Conference play is different everywhere. As proven by USC's loss to Oregon State (make up yuor own inuuendo).

The fact of the matter is Ohio State:
Lost 9 starters on defense
Has been ranked #1 all year long.
Has obliterated its opponets
Has the best player in college football
Has the most explosive player in cf
Has a coach who is cool as a cucumber and just wins championships
Is returning to the desert where they have played and on 3 of the last 4 years.

The stars are aligned again and on Jan 9th, I am going to flood the Sports Forum with Buckeye blogs and posts.

Everyone needs to come to grips with where there team and conference stands. Once you come to grips with that you will be a much happier sports fan. Everyone here knows I'm a Packer fan and I know the Packers stink even in a very week division. So I just look for progress where ever I can.
In college football on the other hand my team happens to be a top ten team playing in the best conference in college football. They aren't the best team in the conference this year but they are improving.
And when the season finally ends third in the nation isn't so bad.
