How big is the Ohio State-Michigan game here in the 17th state?

In Ohio's 15th Congrssional District (it neighbor's mine: OH-12) here in Columbus, the race is too close to call. Provisional and absentee ballots can be counted as soon as Nov. 18th. But since OH-15 includes the OSU campus, the Franklin County BOE is waiting until Sunday to count them.

The OHSAA has moved all of its Saturday high school football playoff games back so that the kids could watch Ohio State thump on Michigan before they play their own game.

Governor Elect Ted Strickland is pushing back his inagural ball by a week. He will still take the oath on the Jan. 8, 2007. But if the Buckeyes beat the Wolverines (which they should since Troy Smith owns them) they will play in the national championship that night.

Assuming they do win, can he take his oath in Glendale? If not, I'd push it up one day and then fly to AZ for the game - as a representative of the people of Ohio - of course.

He is taking the oath in the AM regardless, just no party at night. I'd rather have him out there than drunk Mike Coleman.
