did he want preferential treatment? definitely. Did he give the order to cover anything up? I don't think so, you can't coordinate a cover up while you're being arrested and under the influence.

I don't blame Kennedy for trying the "I'm an important person" line but I do think those cops deserve commendations for at least trying to treat him like they would a regular person

Again though, if it were a republican, not only would he have been arrested for the lameo excuse, it would be all that the talking heads would be discuassing.

If I was a cop i would have let him go, the guy supports unions and if I was a cop I'd be in a union, similar interest. But I guess that's why i'm not a cop lol.

Hi 40,

Rest assured, with that attitude about you letting him go because he supports unions............we also, don't want you for a cop. If he is under the influence whether it be a "drunk" or a "dopie", then he deserves to be in jail like anyone else who is stopped for that offense after a crash.

If you have to vote for a democrat an easy way to find out who's more corrupt is to see who the Firefighters and Police support.

Actually, you need to see whom their unions support. Ask the rank and file whom they support. In 04 I saw many firefieghters for Bush shirts and Law Enforcement for Bush shirts. Remember, Unions outlived their purposes 100 years ago. Unions nowadays only serve their own interests. That is why when we go to a Kroger (Union Shop) grocery store, I will not let my kids clean up any thing they knock over or mess up. They wanted to be union to 'preserve their jobs' so they can clean up too.
