Re: blame it on george

It's not GWB's fault on this one. The economy knew BHO was going to get elected and preemptively tanked on him. Dirty move, economy. Dirty move.

Not entirely true. Gun sales and ammunition went up. One of the best things that happened for them was BHO getting elected.

Re: blame it on george

I don't think it's mass hysteria, it's knowing who was projected to man the different positions within BHO's regime and what they've done in the past.

If the last administration had ended with a surplus instead of the largest deficit in history, who would be taking the credit? . .

Re: blame it on george

Which would do what, exactly? It doesn't matter what BHO specifically has done in the past (unless he could executive order some constraints) because he can't pass the stuff he personally wants. His tsars (and others) be damned.

So I stand by my statement. Especially when considering the denotations of both hysteria, and mass hysteria according to answers.com

Hysteria: 1 - Behavior exhibiting excessive or uncontrollable emotion, such as fear or panic.

Mass Hysteria - A condition in which a large group of people exhibit similar physical or emotional symptoms, such as anxiety or extreme excitement. Also called epidemic hysteria.

I think these terms certainly apply, but perhaps to be more pointed I should have used the term "mass paranoia." And who better to exploit these feelings than Fox Propaganda.

I was specifically referring to Gun and Ammo sales. Living in CA also means not only do I have to be concerned about the Fed, but my own state. ENFORCE THE LAWS ON THE BOOKS CALIFORNIA!!! Too many scum bags are walking early and then doing the same thing, holy crap can't they see that?

Not sure what you mean here. Are there too many prisoners being prematurely released from prison because of overcrowding and monetary issues? Maybe a tax increase would help?

Re: blame it on george

NO, we pay enough taxes as it is. I think this is a domino affect. If scum realize that they can do what they want and won't have to stay in prison but a small fraction of their sentence, what is the incentive to NOT commit the crime again? The prisons are overcrowded because there's too much trash out there. Scum that threatens our citizens, our police officers, and our (what's remaining of it) way of life. As it relates to my point, restricting gun and sales has NOT proven effective in the past, so why are they pursuing it now? To reduce crime? It didn't work in DC, didn't work in New York, didn't work in Chicago, three of the most recent examples. How did Boston reduce their crime relate homicides? A concerted effort by police, a strict adherence to sentencing, and stronger punishment for those caught with guns that committed the crimes. I wish it were as easy as sending scum to feel good classes and they would miraculously change their ways, but for the most part, scum is scum and should be treated as such.

No big disagreement with the basic concept; I'm a Texan and we lock up offenders and execute murderers at a pretty fair clip. We also build new prisons to help offset overcrowding. Again, it just seems like you and the rest of your state can't face up to the fiscal realities of law enforcement. Piss and moan but do nothing. Look, it's your state, don't expect the rest of us to shed many tears because you've screwed it up.

And another wonderful claim to fame...Pelosi. I think that about says it all. In CA you basically have Northern CA, liberal, Central CA conservative (many farmers), and Southern CA (mixed but mostly liberal). We have, despite what some claim, a huge issue with illegal immigration and the costs associated with that. It's too bad too, where I am, I'm 20 minutes from the surf, about 90 minutes to the snow, about 90 minutes to the desert, and year round nice weather. Were it not for our state legislative bafoons, we'd be in paradise.

To coin a phrase from another famous Texan, "while other states are trying to abolish the death penalty, we're putting in an express lane". That was the honorable Ron White, who was referencing the law (as he explained it) that if you commit murder and more than three people saw you do what you did, there's not waiting on death row, you move to the head of the line. "Kill someone in Texas and we'll kill you back".

Here we get back to the "Piss and Moan" Factor. Who elected Nancy in the first place? Who continues to vote for her? Wah, wah, wah. If the electorate wants to kick her out of office, they will. Have Republicans gotten their butts kicked soundly at both the national and state levels across the country recently? That would be a big 'Yes"!

If you want change to happen, get up and give voters a reason to make it happen. Spare me your excuses.

I personally blame it on Spongebob, jeez Bush we know the show is teh awesome sauce, but you should've been more aware.

Yea its just blah blah hypothetical talk. Way too much talk. These people could be raising awareness for something important instead. I could only read a sentence or tow of that source material before it got annoying.

Getting back on topic.....

YAWN

Blaming things on Bush is so yesterday. I can see if BHO gets re-elected and in 2012, the Dem candidate would say "it took Bush 8 years to mess it up, it's going to take us 2x that long to fix it".

Realize this, someday we have to stop blaming Bush for everything.
