I think it becomes less interesting when you consider the demographics of each network. All the old, white, retired men get to catch O'reilly on one network. Independents and liberals have an abundance of options to pick from. Consequently, ratings are scattered.

That cartoon would infer that Democrats and Republicans have a different threshold of morality . . I am not sure the facts support that . . but when the Rebublicans walk around spouting all the self righteous Family Values" HS then get caught behaving immorally, they are more harshly critized.

That is probably not fair, but it is a self inflicted wound.
