ABC promises Republicans health care coverage won't be Obama 'infomercial'

ABC News officials Tuesday defended a planned White House-set special on health-care reform from charges by the Republican National Committee that it would be nothing more than a "glorified infomercial" to promote a Democratic agenda.

"Poppycock" is what ABC officials said, though in more official terms.

The dustup began when officials at the Republican National Committee got wind that ABC News would devote extensive coverage to the topic, including an interview with President Obama and the First Lady on "Good Morning America," a White House-set telecast of "World News" and a one-hour prime-time town-hall type discussion with the President on health care on June 24.

ABC = All Barrack Channel

How quickly we forget. Back in my day it was the All Bush Channel and it aired dramatizations of spineless democrats who were too analytical to kill Bin-Laden, even with a sniper being 1 second away from preventing 9/11.

I think they're just general opportunist who realize that you can make a lot of money putting a very popular guy with an important message on T.V. and don't have to pay for anything but your regular news team who's contract likely covers these sort of specials.

Look at it this way, you can have this or According to Jim reruns.

The number one channel at my house. History Channel. Number two. National Geographic (only because I get basic cable on all but one tv), It is a tie between Science and History International for 3rd. 4th and 5th are DIY and HGTV. You may have to explain with this According to Jim is to me.

Ah, I guess this means I'm a nerd. I do not think I've watched ABC in ages, let alone all the popular channels. This is just another program I will skip.

Take standard hack sitcom formula and insert John Belushi's brother, who John apparently sucked all the talent out of.

30 rock is the only show I watch on TV these days, though I even watch that over the web half the time.

Sounds typical. About the only show that is not a repeat or on a learning type channel is Rescue Me, and when it comes back on Sons of Anarchy.

Rescue me is great, on that endorsement I'll have to check out sons of anarchy. I hear Breaking Bad on AMC is good too.
