Why did this make CNN's frontpage as breaking news? And why do they keep playing it on TV?

Oh noes! Someone notify PETA - he killed that fly!

I guess there just wasn't anything else and they needed to fill some time... Or they were trying to make him appear to be more of an "everyman" in that he has to deal with flies too... Really, is Brangelina and all that stuff any more newsworthy? Do you really take these news organizations seriously? I don't bother watching the TV for news. I can get a lot more info a lot easier - and faster - using the array of 9 news sites that is my homepage (via firefox and speed dial) Granted, 3 of those are automotive specific, 3 are just network sites (MSN, Fox, CNN) and the other 3 are WSJ, Reuters, and AP news.

If you look at more of that he starts to give time ques to the producer because he thinks they're going to edit that out and focus their time on his new policy decisions that will drastically effect the future of this country.

Well he must have forgot that he was dealing with serious news journalist.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants the flyswatter in chief to try taking a more humane attitude the next time he's bedeviled by a fly in the White House.

PETA is sending President Barack Obama a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap a house fly and then release it outside.

"We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals," PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich said Wednesday. "We believe that people, where they can be compassionate, should be, for all animals."

In other news peta, in an attempt to reduce the number of single celled organisms kill every day by humans, is fighting to make immunosuppressants mandatory in all foods.

However experts note that such a move may be most harmful to peta members themselves, who are already anemic vegans.

I am glad PETA got on it. IT actually shows they're consistent. I don't see what the FOX slam has to do with the topic.

I hear peta is going after city governments because their mosquito control is killing mosquitoes. They want all of mosquitoes caught and released outside the city limits.
