John Stewart, Jim Cramer, and Brawl Street.

Here's the whole clip, and I'm sure most of you have seen snippets of the developing fights in the news. The ensuing interview was one of the best, hard hitting interviews I think I've ever seen. And John Stewart, likewise, did a phenomenal job against CNN's Crossfire, way back when. Here's the whole show, and 90% of it is the interview (Cramer comes on before the first commercial break, and stays for the whole program):

And here's some media analysis of said interview:

I really hope this is an impetus to improving financial journalism.

I was also reading some commentary left by the readers of CNN, and it was a shame to see them politicize this issue. I think we need to embrace and demand that corruption get rooted out in both parties (and in wall street). Corruption has no party affiliation.

I must also give props to Cramer for agreeing to come on the show to begin with, taking the fight in stride, and pretty much admitting his faults. It was refreshing to see someone not blame others for their faults and come to the realization that such obvious weaknesses must be improved. Well done there, Cramer. With a focused and embarrassing attack as Stewart put on, you took it with honor. Commendable.

He looked like he was channeling a super pissed off Tim Russert there; including the omitted profanity.

I've never been a Kramer fan, but I had to give him credit for showing up on the Stewert show. He actually came across better than I expected

Re: John Stewart, Jim Cramer, and Brawl Street.

It was refreshing to see Cramer drop his Mad Money persona and have a real discussion. I've never been a fan, but now I'm thinking that I might pay a bit more attention to his message rather than the presentation.

But, I'll still say that "Mad Money" is a pretty sad commentary on the state of American journalism. Come on, when Cramer, Lamebaugh, Stearn, and Huffington are the only voices that can get us to listen, that's sad.
