Jason, I live in Texas and this is true. Our govt. has not done ONE thing to prevent this. I wish Texas would secede and our minutemen would throw these parasites out of here.

We only seem to focus on one side of the equation.

They do work that for the most part no one else wants to do ( try to hire a U.S Citizen to mow your lawn! ) . . for generations we ( particularly in Texas ) have turned a blind eye and encouraged the cheap labor.

I for one, would prefer to pay them less versus paying them more so that they can pay taxes that the government can squander

Value side? There is NO value side. Hospitals are closing down, whole entire states are going to bankrupt. They are raping us and raping us badly. There is absolutely no benefit and THEY DO NOT DO JOBS THAT WE WON'T. They just ask for less money BECAUSE THEY ARE ILLEGAL AND DON'T PAY TAXES AND THEREFORE DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT CHARGING MORE! Plus, on top of this, THEY ARE ILLEGAL AND BY YOU HIRING THEM, YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN AN ILLEGAL ACTIVITY YOURSELF. No, they do NOT pay taxes and may never pay taxes and because of this, we are BROKE. Listen, I am in Texas and was very political on the local level to get these people to abide by the law of the land or get out and you know what I was told? TOO BAD WHITE LADY, WE ARE TAKING BACK TEXAS AND THE SOUTHWEST, SO GET OVER IT AND GO BACK TO EUROPE AND THEN THEY BURN OUR FLAG. So, that nice, poor little man who will cut your yard for $10 less is really screwing you in the long run and you are allowing it and it boils my blood to hear these lame excuses. Did you see the statistics? They bring nothing but poverty, crime and misery. They clog up our prisons, rape and kill our children, use our free hospital services, rape our education system, etc. And, they DO NOT care.

I am/was blue collar by trade.... I know all too well the impact caused by illegals.

The money saved with lower wages benefits those who have not been displaced in the marketplace. Illegals tax our social services in a direct manner and also indirectly by forcing many citizens to seek assistance when their job base has been compromised.

We are losing the battle with a casuality list comprised of little people.

I concur. Remember the old saying... Nothing in life is free, or there is no free ride. That cheap roofing job will cost us America. Was it worth it? And, no, not fire will be shot. It saddens me.

They pay Sales Taxes . . They pay Property tax ( via their apartment rentals ) Many of them pay Income Tax and Social Security taxes, but because their papers are not legal they draw none of the benefits. ( and, because they are the easy ones to catch, they are the ones who get deported )

The crime rate is greatly exaggerated. .

Last year we tried to find someone to mow the lawn when I became disabled. . absolutely no one was interested other than the undocumented workers. We had no choice but to go with a serviced that uses undocumented workers.

It makes for a nice rant, but the facts do not hold up.

You know I could post hundreds of links about the deleterious effects of illegal immigration and how MOST of them do NOT pay taxes. Not sure where you got that odd piece of info. So sad you had to hire a mexican to mow your lawn... although I don't really believe that not ONE man would have done it. You just wanted to save some money.

First of all . . you do not have a clue what I wanted . . Try to find soeone to mow the lawn, at any price, and you will see it is not easily done!

Second, How do they not pay sales tax on their purchases?

How do they not pay property tax ( it is included in the cost of the apparrtment or house rental)

How do they not pay tax on the gasoline they buy?

How do they not pay income tax when they present "less than pristine" papers to the employer ( who then turns a blind eye to the fact they are forged ) Because they are not documented, they cannot apply for the refund they would be due, and are not elligible for SS, so those monies stay in the general coffers.

I have yet to see a legitimate article where any Mexican raped a child ( mistreatment of children is not a part of their culture )

Why are they here? . . for almost a century we ( Texans in particular ) incouraged and openly supported their annual migrations to Texas in search of work. How many fully documented workers do you thnk you wlill find on the King Ranch? . . on most of the ranches in Texas?? On most Road construction crews ?? . . On most Trash pickup crews ( hired in most cases by city covernments )

Now, all of a sudden, with the rise of "Compasionate Conservatism" we open our eyes and are Shocked !!. Shocked!! to find that there are undoucmented alleins in our pristine state!!!

As I said . . makes a nice rant ( seemingly more so to the "Compasionate Consertives" in our midst ). . but does not stand up to facts

I just can't believe you believe a word you just wrote and it is honestly hard for me to converse with someone who I feel is so misled. Hispanics mainly rent illegally and do not pay taxes, there are tons of crimes committed by illegals to include rape, murder and drugs... c'mon, are you saying this is false? My goodness.
And, I live in Plano and there are tons of people to cut my lawn. Gimme a break. You wanted to save a buck and now you have to pay with the loss of your country. And, to let you know, I spent hours upon hours in local govt. and did not just SIT back.

Not sure if you notice, but it is my threads that receive the most attention on this site and therefore I am fully capable of independent thought and have answered your most silly questions and informed you that I was involved at the local level in our government to prevent the spread of the disease of illegal immigration. So, before you accuse me of a lack of independent though, read the posts. Don't be upset because I can answer you intelligently and have pointed out that you are a part of the problem, not the solution. You need to really do your research before you spout off silly facts and figures that illegals bring in more money than they use and belong here illegally. Illegal is the operative word. Is that a word you comprehend?

If illegal immigration is such a good idea, why are most Americans upset? Hmmm.....

Simpswr, I see what you are saying. But why can't they go ahead and get their citizenship? I have quite a few friends who went through that process. Yes, it takes time and money. But for those who don't, its like a slap in the face to those who do.

Great question!! . . and the one that we should be debateing as a country.

If we were to put a process in place that would let them get citizenship, the outcry is "Amnesty! ! the horror! ! " They must be punished for doing what we wanted them to"

It seems to me that the answer is some work visa program that is practical, reasonable, let the ones who can contribute to our society do so in a non-punative manner, and at the same time. protects our borders.

I grew up in Texas, and saw first hand the work these folks do ( and the harm some do ). We ( the collective "we" ) encouraged their migration as long as it was beneficial to us ( the collective "us") . . We all called them lazy ( inspite of the backbreaking work they do ) and, because they did not look like "us" or speak the same language, looked down on them and did our best to keep them at the bottom of the ladder.

In my old age, I cannot help but wonder at how we choose to punish those who are at the bottom of the ladder for doing what was beneficial to us. Ask any cattle rancher in Texas how they would do without the migrant workers . . they will tell you they could not survive. Beef prices would have to go higher, and then they could not compete with beef produces south of the border.

Your question is not easy to answer . . and answering it is clearly not in the best interests of the government, or they would have done something about it by now.
