Re: Under 7000
Hi simpswr!!
Nope, no 401k. I do know many that got wiped out. It is a shame that predation and greed have put so many in jeopardy. Work all your life just to find out that your hard-earned money ended up in the pocket of a person who has figured out how manipulate the unsuspecting and trusting. I had a 401k..... all funds were transfered to people who suffered no loss and only gained the benefit that I had worked for. I put money away to ensure survival and watched it go up in smoke. Today's market/economy is focused towards the savvy that reap the rewards that should have gone to the diligent worker. I am glad I got out of the 401k program...... I could not afford to support the lifestyle of others, which I could not enjoy by doing an honest days work. The people who manage the funds that have been invested by the person wishing to provide security at the time of retirement are the ones who gain the most benefit. The investor suffers all losses.... management is pretty much immune....not their money. I have friends that lost much money in the market in their 401k's. It is just a ploy in which assets are transfered to those who suck the lifeblood of the average person for decadence and gain. At one time, investment in a corporation was an affirmation of confidence in an idea or product. A person invested funds through confidence and only expected modest gain with their backing of the company. Today, the investor only wishes to make maximun gain for the least amount of exposure. I hope they all crash and burn. I am far from a financial guru, but if I were in the 401k thing, I would go for bonds and stay away from anything that had implications in respect to stocks. Go for a low rate of return but be assured of a return, no matter how small. Let it turn into "dog eat dog" and see if the parasites survive the ordeal. I have no compassion for the stock market... the average person has no reason to be there. Leave it to the "pros" and let them feast on each other... when the numbers have been cut, the world will be in better shape. |
