Anti-stimulus ad uses Jesus

WASHINGTON (CNN) – A conservative organization launched a national television ad Friday criticizing the $787 billion stimulus bill, and called into question one of President Obama’s main campaign promises to bring change to Washington.

The American Issues Project uses points of historical reference to show how $787 billion could stretch over time from the birth of Jesus to the current day.

"A million dollars a day for more than 2,000 years."
Wow, that puts the amount in persepective.

Same ad seems to disseminate exorbitant amounts of crap:

TV ads: no better than anonymous emails.

Yup, I didn't mean to imply that that was bogus. It is legit. But I think at this point, size is relative. And just because it seems staggering to us when cast in certain lights does not mean it is bad/good.

Yeah, I agree. What I really noticed about this article, though, is that we hear these large sums of money tossed around and don't really understand how large they are. Not only in politics, but in everything. Bill Gates, for instance. How many billions does he have? I remember when being a millionaire was something big
I mean, a million dollars a day for 2000 years? wow
