In yet another example of hostility towards lawful firearm owners, the Obama transition team is weeding out applicants for White House positions who own firearms themselves, or who come from firearm-owning families.

Maybe he fears they'll shoot him. Since owning a firearm is automatically grounds for suspicion... I suspect he may want to remove all cutlery from the White House while he's at it

just because the survey asks about guns (if its even a valid survey) dont mean they are weeding out gun owners. It also asks if they have had a physical in the past year. By your logic if you would also be weeded out if you had a physical in the past year.

Its so easy to take stuff out of context when you are crying in your beer.

Its an illegal question to ask. Just like asking about religion, sexual preferense and political preferense, unless its a partisan office for the political pref questions.

I think I heard that Obama will have to fill roughly 6000 positions in the government...although I assume lower level positions will actually be filled by the higher-ups he hires personally. I have no idea if all 6000 will have to fill out the same questionnaire.
