direction of slant of media

It has become very apparent lately that certain news media have an agenda they are pushing. I would be very interested to hear what you guys think of some of them and what direction do they push ?

MSNBC definetly pushes for Obama

Fox seems to be very conservative pushing ?

Re: direction of slant of media

None of the cable news is MSM, although MSNBC, CNN, and CNBC are biased to the left. You might recall NBC disciplined Olberman and Matthews for being to biased in their convention coverage. Both are op/ed guys, and that's pretty bad.

Do not confuse news broadcasts with opinion type shows.

Re: direction of slant of media

well; what got me wondering was the last two or three interviews and reports I have seen coming from Brian Williams and Merridith Veriera are extremely slanted to the Dems ....... so much so, I will not watch them anymore

I am very curious what other media outlets are like this ........ either direction

I enjoy the no hint of bias personally ........ or at least not have it quite so force fed ?

Re: direction of slant of media

everyone is bias. As for who asks good questions and avoids distracting non-issues, they've probably all retired or been forced out because I haven't seen any one who matches that description lately. I liked Kopel.

I liked Tim Russert; he used to seem to interview without a big slant in any direction ...... at least not that I noticed ....... didnt pay that much attention before ....... but now its very apparent

Re: direction of slant of media

Fix News is biased?? . . I am shocked! . . Shocked!!

I am about as conservative as they come ( traditional defination of conservative . . not the more recent relegious right B.S ) and Fix irritates me . . I only listen when I need a laugh!!

What has me rolling on the floor is their constant assertion that our giving the election away is somehow the fault of the Democrats.

Re: direction of slant of media

It's been a l-o-n-g primary and campaign, so nobody remembers much about it from the beginning. It might appear that the news is biased towards Obama. I'm not talking about the Hannity's, Olbermann's, O'Reilly's.

If it seems like McCain is getting nothing but negative press, that's because he's losing. His campaign is falling apart, they're infighting, prominent Republicans are abandoning ship.

I hesitate to bring this up again. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. What has the press got to work with to put McCain in a better light? Not much.

I absolutely agree, I have seen just as much negative press about Obama from him being a muslim to his so called terrorist connection to his aunt living in the US in spite of having a deportation order.

IMO, people are blind when it comes to the press. They only see and read what they want and anything that contradicts their views is not there.

Re: direction of slant of media

The MSM goes to great lengths to explain Obama is NOT a Muslim, and cover up as much as possible his ties to questionable associates. The MSM is practically part of Obama's campaign.

And a lot of you people think Fox is the only biased media out there. Shame on you.

And the MSM has been using plenty of lipstick to try to cover up their one sided coverage.
