Candidates debate - memories from the past
As I was watching the last debate, I remembered the past debates between G.W. Bush and democratic candidates.
There was a point that for some reason is not discussed in the present elections at all: our Social Security... Does anyone remember how Bush advocated privatization of Social Security? Not a word about it now. Strange... Poor Richard S. Fuld Jr., chairman and chief executive of Lehman Brothers was once hopeful he could get a (small) portion of the Social Security. Just a tiny itzy bitzy portion, linked to a tiny bonus... He and few other fellow investors must be disappointed... |

Re: Candidates debate - memories from the past
A bold face attempt to do to SS what they successfully did with retirement accounts in the 1980's. I guess Ronald Reagan's puppet strings were tied a little tighter than Bush's.
