Re: How I spent My Stimulus

Well, we're spending some on a little paint and stuff for the house, a trip to Austin for the wife & kids this summer, but mostly, replacing the primary home computer and moving the old one down the food chain to replace the kiddo's machine is the big priority. This is also going to be the first Intel CPU I've used in a machine built for my own use since a Pentium II 450.

I'm keeping it pretty middle of the road. Q9300, 4 GB low latency RAM, 8800GTS 512 MB video. About the only area where I'm coughing up a bit more cash is for case and cooling. Antec Sonata 550Plus, a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and 2 Scythe S-Flex SFF21D fans. The main priority here is to build it to be quiet and reliable.

We are using ours (my next to last digit in my ssn is 9 and thus are getting it later) to buy Christmas gifts.
