Re: How to Ruin a Trip to the Museum
Gonna be tough to score high on the SAT for these poor kids. But not to worry. Liberty University will take them.
Remember, there are no Christian kids! There are only kids of Christian parents.

Re: How to Ruin a Trip to the Museum
Religion and Science simply do not mix. I don't care how you spin it, oil does not blend with water.
Spouting Creationism in a museum... good grief. |

Re: How to Ruin a Trip to the Museum
I don't know, if I could get an audio tour guide of these people, I think it would make a trip through a familiar museum very, very funny!
The thing is that Science excels when people challenge it; religion is the opposite. I guess it all boils down to: does belief out-trump proof? |

Something to consider, with the exception of hijacking pagan holidays and turning them into christian ones, early christian missionaries would destroy anything pagan or anything they deemed as anti christian. A lot of history were destroyed because of them.

Re: How to Ruin a Trip to the Museum
I can appreciate that the Christian would see pagan gods/ items of worship as false gods and as such would want to destroy them.
All religions have their god-given intolerances. For me, science proof is not fact. Most experiments fall within statistical margins, and it is impossible to tell if the error is because of the method or because of a wrong theory. As such, science is always looking to further prove or disprove any given theory. Very little is seen as fact. Religion has facts of faith. Belief is trusting the facts of your faith, despite other people having incompatible facts (beliefs). Belief does not like to face up to proof, it has too much to loose. But eventually most faiths assimilate science proof into their faith. I have not met a Christian that says the world is at the centre of the universe. But at one time it was believed that god put man on earth and built all things around him. So the sun had to revolve round the earth. So Christians now believe that man is at the centre of god's creation on a planet at the margins of a universe, one of many. And I bet all my money that if aliens arrived here, then they would instantly be part of god's secret plan to. |

Re: How to Ruin a Trip to the Museum
Heck, I thought everybody knew that early man and dinosaurs hung out together! Didn't Fred Flintstone have Dino? What about Alley Oop and Dinny? Want some hard scientific evidence? How about this? The only thing harder than this "evidence" is the heads of the people that believe it.
What do I think about "Bible Science"? I think The Onion hit the nail on the head.
