Predatory Lenders' Partner in Crime

How the Bush Administration Stopped the States From Stepping In to Help Consumers

Quote:
Even though predatory lending was becoming a national problem, the Bush administration looked the other way and did nothing to protect American homeowners. In fact, the government chose instead to align itself with the banks that were victimizing consumers.
Not only did the Bush administration do nothing to protect consumers, it embarked on an aggressive and unprecedented campaign to prevent states from protecting their residents from the very problems to which the federal government was turning a blind eye.

All I can say is what I have already said:

Deary, me, why would anyone hold the Administration responsible in any way for the current banking mess? Could it be:

the stock market was originally intended as a way inventors could get financial backing for their ideas and not have to sell out to a corporation...its obviously become quite the opposite...

The links are dead , but tell you the truth , the washington post link is very disturbing , because the whole mess could have been avoided. This administration should go to jail for ever.

Re: Predatory Lenders' Partner in Crime

Wow! Thanks for the update on the links! They were OK just a few days ago, but I guess it's time to hunt updates. I hate that 'cause it is so time consuming. Still, no sacrifice is too large for truth, justice, and the American Way. I'll be back.
