Lebanese president declares state of emergency
The Lebanese President has declared a state of emergency and ordered the Army to take power of the government in order to avoid a Hizbullah takover hours before stepping down

The reports I've heard said that the tension is not high enough for a full blown civil war. However if there are any skirmishes it could quickly escalate to that.

I thought they were coming to Annapolis next week to talk peace? I guess the Lebanese will sit this one out. Too bad, unless all are at peace, none can feel sure.
