It should work like this, if you earn over a million a year you pay like 40%

Period end of story no tax breaks

If you earn lets say 30k a year should pay maybe 10-15

How about everybody pays 30% , rich and poor .

Right now the rich pays only 17% , and for me , it is more than 30% .

I am not asking to penalize the rich .I have to pay more because i don't lobby in washington?

Yup if your a filthly rich person you can afford to loose 40% of your income.

Story is a bvt different when you bringing in enough to scrap by.

Buffett is in the 35% bracket. However, he's done something to create how he pays taxes. Unfortunately I was unable to hear what the answer was. What? On a local talk show, this topic came up. A tax accountant called up and said he thought he had the answer, but it would only be a guess as he didn't know Buffett, much less work on his taxes. About that time my neighbor came over and I didn't get to hear what might have been the answer.

Mimo, you must be rich to be in that bracket.

How about everyone just keeps what they make instead of having extorted from them by the IRS. Then if rich people like Warren Buffet want to give all their money away to help other people they can, only it'd go to actually helping people rather than just paying interest on the national debt.

I feel that rich need to be taxed heavily. SImply because they can afford it. I'm sorry but taking 40% of a million from a persons income isn't like taking 40% off of a 30k paycheck.

The 30ker values each and very dollar more cause he had to go furthur.

The millionare on the other end sure 400k is a lot, however at the end of the day he stills riding nicely with 600k.

People need to keep their grubby paws of our hard earned money. If the government would quit spending so much damn money on million dollar bombs and 20 thousand dollar hammers we wouldn't need an income tax and we'd all be better off.
