No actually, the dems control the house and senate.
Some republicans tried for a permanent ban on internet taxing, but couldn't get enough support.

Any "permanent" ban is only permanent until the next congress is sworn in...Republican grandstanding...

"See we tried to make it permanent but those tax and spend liberals want to raise your taxes the very next chance they get."
