British politics; Gordon Brown
I was just wondering how everyone is viewing Gordon Brown, especially in the light of the fiasco about calling a general election.
Also, as a supplemental, has anybody heard about Tony Blair and how his mission for peace in the middle east is going? |

Re: British politics; Gordon Brown
Well the thread response just about sums up what seems to be the general mood for politics in Britain: apathy.
What has caused that apathy would be an interesting discussion in its self. Ironically enough, I don't actually have much to say about Gordon Brown. I hope that he will move British politics away from high PR and back to a more statesman like process. Yet he seems to have done little to help himself in the last month, so only time will tell. I was kind of interested to find out whether Gordon Brown was on the radar of other countries in any way like as much as I perceived Tony Blair to be. I guess by the lack of response, I have my answer! |

Don't hear much about him here in the states. But trust me, that's a good thing.

Re: British politics; Gordon Brown
I wonder how many Americans even know that he is the PM? My guess is <20%.
