On November 4, 2008, Massachusetts voters will have the chance to pass a ballot initiative decriminalizing the possession of small amounts of marijuana — removing the threat of jail time for possessing an ounce or less of marijuana for personal use.

It doesn't matter. See Aschroft v. Raich Note how the conservative justices disagreed.

Mitt Romney snubs medical marijuana patient

I don't like Mitt Romney for a lot of reasons, and was disgusted by this clip: http://gloob.tv/news/romney_confront...t?article=1976 of him explaining to a wheelchair-bound lifelong muscular dystrophy sufferer that he would indeed arrest him for his "crime" (I live in California, where taking medicine that a doctor recommends isn't a crime).

Re: Mitt Romney snubs medical marijuana patient

It's even worse than that: he is asked a direct question "Will you have me and my doctor arrested for using medical MJ if you're elected?" Romney response: "I'm against medical MJ." Muscular dystrophy patient: "That's not what I asked. Will you have me arrested?" Romney response: Turns away - greets the next person. "Hey how ya doing?" Someone in the background asks if he'll have some simple courtesy and answer the guys question? Romney ignores him too.

Granted its a little like "Have you stopped beating your wife?" but if he'd just have said: "Yes I would because that's the law." he'd have looked a lot less like the <TWIBAT> he seems to be...

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt.

Yes, it is illegal in Californina. Federal law trumps state law.

Lets take medical weed, make it legal.

Then make weed legal.

Then lets all be happy.

Rich politician is an arrogant jerk. Wow, shocking.

In other shocking news the car Princess Diana was riding in when she died was going fast.

Re: Romney confronted

Calling him an arrogant jerk is only the start of it. After all he wants our vote - would some civility be too much to expect?

The problem is these guys - and I include almost all of them, ladies too - forget who they work for. Do you think he'd have dismissed the CEO of Aetna or Boeing in the same way?
