I must say after spending 4 years in iraq serving the us in the marines in the so called failed initiatives as you say i must take a little offence to this one. I risked my life for 4 years and in the 4 years i was on the front line i saw a lot of good happen. Plus a lot has changed over in iraq that the liberal media is hiding. Ever since michael moore showed america what it was like(haha what a joke) in his stupid *** movie most of us iraq veterans have been told we wasted our time and everything was wrong. Truth is if i could only tell you all the stuff i have seen happen that hasnt been discussed becuase we cannot discuss it you would have a much different view on iraq. Without people like me there wouldnt be a us like it is we risk our lives daily so people can take it for granted and complain about how bad one person or another is. I have news for you Gore came to our camp in iraq and said he himself if he was the president in 2001 would have done the same thing so like it or not we would still be in war right now.

The msm knows who "outed" a CIA agent, and so did the special prosecutor BEFORE the trial. AFAIK Armitage wasn't even called to testify. They were all trying to nail somebody from the administration, but couldn't really get anyone, and Libby couldn't remember everything in the correct order, and they got him.

OK...let's get some facts straight here...for all intensive purposes Libby broke no laws...he was NOT the one who outed the CIA agent..and even if he was, it would make no difference because SHE WAS NOT A COVERT AGENT!...

Armitage was given immunity for his 'testimony', and the prosecutors and judge allowed questions to be asked that were out of bounds...the jury was misled and followed the carrot...

now, let's get some things straight here...I HATE GEORGE BUSH AND WHAT HE'S DONE TO THIS COUNTRY, but in all fairness I have to point out that slick willy Clinton pardoned over 28 fracking pages of real criminals...counterfeiters, drug smugglers, embezzlers of both banks and the government, and the list goes on....and I hope this is brought to the forefront during the democratic convention to help shoot down any hope of Hilary being able to run...while I would truly love to see Bush (and more so the EVIL Cheney) impeached, it should be done for valid charges, not some trumped up thing like this...

You're all forgetting that this whole thing was done in an attempt to cover up the lies that Bush/Cheney used to justify the invasion and occupation of Iraq. THAT is the true crime here. The thousands of dead American and Iraqis that are the result of those lies is the true crime here. America's standing as the moral compass being permanently destroyed; that is the true crime here.

The Constitution makes provisions for Presidential pardons and commutation's. For Bush to, yet again, distort the truth, by saying the sentence was "excessive" (according to everyone it isn't) just shows he's gutless. Just come out and say it George: "I told Scooter to do it so I'm letting him off the hook." It reeks of the same imperial presidency that Reagan had when he pardoned Oliver North.

In my view pardoning someone convicted of a "political" crime should be beyond the power of the president. Otherwise, it's anything goes.

Your blasting a President saying he is the worst president in hstory however a the same he isn't history yet. His term is still present. His effects haven't hit us yet, who knows maybe Iraq will become a success and be a stance for peace and growth in the middle east eliminating the extremists at the same time giving us 1 dollar a gallon gas again.

Ever wonder why historians don't judge the present, its because they don't have the hind sight to do it. An example war of 1812 in its hayday was considered a just good war. Come 100 years later we consider it a mistake.

Spanish American war was considered by historians of the day the greatest war ever, today heh we really don't care much for it.

Vietnam was VERY POPULAR up until the Tet offensive. Although today it is betrayed as a unsuccessful unpopular war. It wasn't relaly unpopular until Tet, and even then we won that battle. An estimated 3,000 US soliders lost their lives in that offensive, enemy lost 30,000.'

You can critize Bush etc, but don't put him down in the history books, you never know maybe Russia will lunch nukes at us 1 week before his term ends and his actions will say america and the world from nuclear war. He won't so unpopular then would he?

Also Nixon had a lot of great programs, so did LBJ Nixon and LBJ would of most likely been some of our BEST civil rights preisdents had the vietnam war not overshadowed LBJ and the watergate scandal overshadow Nixion.
