The rationing is just a result of what came first; price fixing. Since price fixing always leads to shortages, and of course the rationing followed. Those of you who are old enough will remember a time in the United States when we had price controls on our gas as well, and corresponding shortages that ensued.
The problem is governments always think they can go against economic science with no effect. |
