Ha ha ha, but much truth is said in jest.
Point 1: It's historically incorrect to say he is the worst ever. (Carter's failed Iran rescue was pretty comical) Worst in your lifetime, but I say history will vindicate him and on your death bed, you'll admit I was right.
Point2: It's real easy to be a liberal when living off of mom and dad's largesses.
Point3: They intend to vote, but will they? Most of them are too drunk or stoned to go out and vote.

This is what I would call a 'blanket statement'. I'm not stoned or drunk at all, ever, and neither are most of my friends. But they're still not seeing eye-to-eye with the GOP. And no, they're not eating out of their parents' hands, either- most of them (myself included) work 40-hour weeks.

What difference does it make? There are plenty of people who rent property. Even if I did, I still wouldn't be a republican.

Let's talk about spending if you want to go that route.

Generally most property owners are conservatives because the more liberal the politicians are, the more they want to tax the crap out of you. This usually happens a lot on the state and local levels.

example.. City wants to build a new convention center but needs enough votes from the general public to get it approved. All the ads will state " If we build it, we will get more national acts and concerts." All the teenagers and twentysomethings love that. And of course they are the ones that don't own a house. The vote gets passed and who ends up paying for it? The property owners through property taxes.

Ron Paul looked good to me until I found out he is against net neutrality and Medicare. I know some single moms and that's something they couldn't do without frankly.

For instance, what goes on between consenting adults is not the business of government. If I want to gamble away my money - again, not the business of government.

But, there are some things that are legitimately the business of government. Examples: food safety - once we stopped hunting and growing 100% of our own it became a common concern. Another: environmental protection - individuals cannot shut down the polluter up river. Auto safety - if you left it to the car companies to make progress, we'd all still be driving 52 Packards. How about running the air traffic control system? Overly regulated? Perhaps but necessary nonetheless.

Of course certain things that the government should be involved with... and telling me that I make too much money and don't know how to spend it is not one of them *cough*Hilary Clinton Barrak Obama*cough*

Telling me that I need to pay for some loser who doesn't want to get a job medical bills is not one of them.

Telling me that I need to pay for a baby for a mom that can't close her legs is not one of them.

Telling me that if I want my truck to haul things I have to pay more tax on it cause supposedly it hurts the enviroment is not one of them.

Even if he did want to get rid of all of it, he couldn't. A president can't just walk into office and repeal all of the past laws. Especially not a president who operates under the authority of the constitution, which the good Dr. Paul most certainly does.

Personally, I'd rather have a guy in there saying maybe we don't need War on Drugs. Maybe we don't need the Federal Reserve printing off millions to pay for government waste. Maybe we don't need to roam around the World with our guns drawn looking for more regimes to topple. Maybe, just maybe, the mess were in now is more of result of 80 years of government growth and not just the bad deccisions of the current administration.

The fact is our government is already broke. We're not going broke, we've already arrived. This thing is going to end, and unless we change things now and stop living beyond our collective means it's going to end ugly. We're stretched well beyond our production by our endless wars, social security, and medicare alone, and now we're gonna pile universal healthcare on top of that?

Makes you wonder if anyone is listening to this guy?

If I was asked which party I was voting for

I'd say **** off

The party system is going aganist the wishes of our core, our founding fathers.

And whenever you go aganist the core you make the upper layers fail aka america will go down due to this fact.

Being in a party, or supporting a party makes you unamerican. Therefore i'm more American then any party member.

I like how he just brushes off the $100B debt we're incurring fighting Bush's wars of choice - btw: that seems low given that they've already cost nearly $500,000,000,000. (Somewhere $400B is being counted not as debt). Also, he never mentions that SS would not be an issue if congress didn't borrow from it to pay today's bills. But, he does point out the need for fundamental changes in how we deal with spending and taxing. .

But all that said, at least he's talking about it. At least Mr. Paul is raising the issues. These are things we need to be debating. But then again - see my comment above and you'll understand why nothing will be debated and less will be done.

That is not my point. It's your generation and your party that's screwing up the U.S.'s fiscal future with outrageous war debt and programs that do nothing (No Child Left Behind, anyone?)

That's why when the time comes for my generation to fix this abomination of overspending, social security is going to take one for the team. I'm sure you won't mind though, because you probably don't believe in government handouts anyway.

And I'm not sure how the government plays it, but I'm forced to pay into it so I might as well get atleast what I paid into it back
