Four Muslim men were foiled from carrying out a plot to destroy John F. Kennedy International Airport, kill thousands of people and trigger an economic catastrophe by blowing up a jet fuel artery that runs through populous residential neighborhoods, authorities said Saturday.

The "mastermind" was 63 years old. Hardly your prototypical terrorist.

Yet again an example of good police work and international cooperation succeeding. Strange, I don't see any mention of Up-armored Humvee's or Joint Strike Fighters.

I have to respectfully disagree Drew. The Army is really good at conquering territory. It's what Armies do. They're big and powerful. They make a lot of noise. They smash anything in their way.

What they're not so good at police work or building networks of informants even if they're the enemy, or all the minutia that goes into a year long investigation. That's what police do.

My point is, if we really want to fight a "war against terror" (and I've not been convinced that we do) it is best done by the FBI and CIA and State and local police. Move the Army back to their bases and let the people who know how to do it do it.

But, of course, another thing the Army is really good at is spending bushels of money. And if we let the police fight the battle, how would Cheney's buddies get rich then?

Joe you are right, not every Muslim is a terrorist, some of the Muslims who have made there on part of of the Muslim beliefs, but have changed the way they see it, they believe every person they kill one of there family members goes to there heaven.
