Prince Harry will not now serve in Iraq

Prince Harry will not be sent for military duty in Iraq because of the excessive risks this would cause for him and his comrades, the head of the army said today.

And it makes since, especially in a war where you can't control the fronts.

What a surprise. I'd bet the entire House of Plantagenet has woken up en masse in their graves and are spinning like tops from shame.

Re: Prince Harry will not now serve in Iraq

Really a very bad decision. Looks like cowardice, lack of support for the war, denigrates the sacrifices being made by those less privleged. Makes Harry look WEAK, makes the General look gutless and politically malleable. Better Harry die than British history being written this way, and by these people, IMO . . .

Re: Prince Harry will not now serve in Iraq

I think the right move would be faking him not going and then sending him there in secret.

-OR- (as they do in the United States) . . .

Faking that they've sent him and keep in in the safest place/duty possible.

Re: Prince Harry will not now serve in Iraq

Forget Prince Harry, sending him there would put the people with whom he's stationed in more jeopardy. He's a walking target, and he's no better than any other soldier would be, so why ask for it by sending him?
