Democratic Party = Socialist Party

When's the U.S. "Democratic" Party going to come to terms with the people and change their party name to "Socialist Party" ?

because there already is a socialist party and no one in this nation will knowingly elect an ACTUAL socialist... so it saves face and their political career if they call themselves democrats!

I guess the labor party in the UK should have changed their name to make it easier for the Torrie's to use McCarthyist red scare tactics on them too right.

Pointing out the Democratic Party has become a Socialist Party hardly relates to "McCarthyist red scare tactics"................

McCarthy went overboard in hunting down Communists, and persecuted some who were not Communists. That's what McCarthism is about.

But if someone IS a Communist, and someone else points that out; that certainly doesn't mean the pointer is a "McCarthyist".

by "McCarthyist red scare" I just mean using the stigma attached to socialism in order to discredit someone. It could be like the republicans changing their name to the Corporate Christian Party. Not PR friendly.

You, on the other hand, are not willing to admit the Democratic Party is becoming more of a Socialist Party (even though everyone knows it's true). Instead you try spinning the subject (like so many of my other threads) to villify (or "McCarthyize") me....................

Just for kicks, cstr, tell us what the platform of the Democratic Party is - quick - no Googling allowed. I doubt you can.

Why do I think that? Because your posts are ridiculously simplistic, derogatory and for the most part are insulting to thinking TSF members on both sides of the discussion.

Then again, this thread is nothing but flaming and is closed...bry can reopen it if he feels it has any validity.
