U.S. on Saddam: "Would have done it differently"

U.S.: We didn't kill Saddam, but here's how we would have done it if we did." O.J. Simpson nods in approval

I'm surprised some vigilante with a desire to make a name for himself hasn't done ol' OJ in, like what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer.

I saw Anderson Cooper BADLY flub an interview with some Iraqi spokesman.

Typical Arab talking head. Couldn't speak proper English. And Cooper was so focused on (what? being a pencil-neck) that he failed miserably in causing said pidgeon-english speaking Iraqi to adequately explain how he said he was "proud" of the manner in which the Iraqi government executed Hussein, until the cell-phone video was (his words) "leaked" (what a *******) and then all the sudden said Arab could speak even LESS English.

I see Mexicans doing this constantly here; their English speaking skills are inversely proportionate to the level of discomfort they have in speaking an "unpleasant" truth (such as do they have auto insurance).

I'll say it again. American citizens ought not to be sending their sons & daughters to get arms & legs blown off in the name of "Iraqi Freedom" while Iraqi diplomats can't even thank us in English properly.

The whole purpose of this exercise is to supplant their inferior culture based on fear and revenge into a superior one of respect for law that is universally applied, with some capacity for adaptation via democratic process.

The personal nature of the comments made to Hussein during his execution prove that the current Iraqi government is incapable of even killing one helplessly bound man without succumbing to old (and retarded) fears, hatreds and (I'll say it again) inferior cultural values.

*Extra Bonus Point: Iraqi cultural values are defined as hating the fact that they are brutalized by an oppresive social system, religion and government and being incapable of changing it. However, several "man on the street" inteviews I have seen recently from "Battlefield Iraq" do indicate that they can certainly complain about their situation (while not being able or willing to do much about it BUT complain).

I think I might be developing a strong dislike for Iraqis in general. Many troops report that while they are in favor of the mission, in general they dislike Iraq. I'm tired of going to the hospital to be treated by all these American-educated foreign doctors with their accents, and then hearing those very same accents on TV complaining about Americans from whatever hell-hole they can't escape from.

And why can't Iraq manage to field one English-speaking talking head ? Even Hussein's PR guy spoke decent English while he lied on TV. The current Iraqi Administration can't even match THAT.

Rant ends in feeble disgust, and a strong desire to go downstairs and get some ice cream.

A report on a 24-hour Arabic-language television channel - based in Tehran and run by the Iranian state radio and TV service - claimed that Saddam Hussein's execution was rushed by the Iraqi government in order to thwart an escape plan, masterminded by the United States.

My System

Girderman, you expect Iraqis in your country to speak the same language as you, yet expect the same people in their own country to speak English?

Hypocrite...

You can't have it both ways.

I expect Iraqi government officials to address the American People with adequate English skills and sincere gratitude for the American lives and resources that allows them to have a chance at achieving a level of freedom that there own flea-infested, inferior, violant and misbegotten culture has not been able to provide for them.

Not for 2000 years, while the rest of the world became enlighted around them, the Moslems have maintained a stalwart defender of retarded barbarism.

"Allah" might be "Great", but Moslems are a pack of violant retards.

Pop Quiz:
Name the single greatest Islamic contribution to humanity, for 3 points extra credit.

I also have certain expectations that people that are born into an English-speaking country (such as the UK) to have a minimal level of reading comprehension skills, and also a certain level of self-discipline with regard to the use of epithets.

Well Henry, I'm glad you asked. Because just now I hung up the phone with President Bush and we were discussing this very issue.

The REAL reason why we went to Iraq was in order to establish a sovereign nation of Arabs that will have opportunities given to their decendants that would NEVER be possible without outside intervention and assistance.

This will benefit not only the Iraqis lucky enough to live within the boundries of this new State, but it's existance will be a shining example of what other Arabs in neighboring countries might aspire to. It is for this reason that it's creation threatens the established religious/cultural/social/governmental powers in Iran, Syria and other Arab states.

Rather than being able to maintain power by pitting one faction against another, Arab governments will have a more directly adversarial relationship with their governments. They will be held more accountable by and to their people on how well they act in the interests of the entire population, as they will be competing with the New Iraqi Government on being able to deliver standard of living and quality of life.

The President told me all of this himself.

Further, this inward-looking Arab perspective will force these governments to pay more attention to maintaining their power over their own people, and thereby hinder their ability to carry on menacing and destabilizing actions with neighboring Arab States. Which will then create a long-term stable political situation which will facilitate a more stable long-term economy.

In short, a "Pax Americana" authored by (he will be known as) the Visionary Statesman, President George W. Bush. His legacy, which will be honored for decades and perhaps even centuries.

Girderman that sounds to me like the American Empire! what you're in effect saying is that whole world should work to American standards or be invaded and be forced to; and that no culture even one thousands of years older than your own has the right to exist on a planet that includes America under it's current leadership. You asked in a previous post what has the Arab world ever given us; well my good man I think you should read a history book or two. Who knows you might just learn somethings that will impress you.Science, Maths and medicine owe a lot to study done by ancient Arab cultures. I do however agree with some of what you have to say on islam, it's public image is one of extreme violence to non muslims and extreme oppression of its own believers. Both sides are saying do as we tell you or we'll shoot! seems to me the rest of the world (the sane bit) is between a rock and a hard place! As for GW he has to get to the end of his term without being impeached for telling the world all the lies he did i.e. WMD
