I remember Sam Brownback giving a speech about a year ago, and the Daily Show made the same joke. Sam Brownback is my #3 choice, but practically he ranks low, because it is unlikely that he will.

Evan Bayh is also running, Clinton basically made the announcement a couple days ago. But the run to '08 has been pretty acceptable at this point.

But Cheney is the first VP in a while that never positioned himself for a Whitehouse run in a while. He barely goes to the press, except to apologize for shooting a guy in the face.

But he is actually quite well spoken, and I really like him.

I think Brownback, Romeny, or Newt Gingrinch, would make good VP (since they won't get elected as the GOP's choice)... But since the GOP has a surefire win in 2008 vs. Hillary, I think it is fair to say we will get a very Conservative VP.
