What Pres. Bush should do about Iraq

http://www.heritage.org/Research/MiddleEast/wm1264.cfm

I think that leaving it suddenly is the total wrong thing to do. But I think we should give them strict guidelines on what to do. Make sure they know if they do what is right, we will stay there for as long as it takes, but if don't take responsability. See ya!

Al-Maliki needs to stop using religion as a basis for hiring and providing equal services. If he doesn't it will become a full blown civil war. If he does not stop that, like by next week, I would also say, "here you go Mr. Maliki, we are leaving in 2 months, good luck dealing with the 10 million people who want to kill you." Then we redeploy to Kuwait, to protect our interests, and if Al-Maliki shapes up, we can go back in. But if Al-Maliki doesn't want to help us, or use our advice, I see no reason to help him.

Of course, I think about the civilians that will be killed by the hundred, and I have trouble sticking with my opinion... the bottom line, there is no right decision, I agree with kofi Anon, we can certainly not leave, but we can't stay.

Personally I think we should surrender unconditionally to: China, Russia, France, Iraq, Iran, France, Turkey, Mexico, North Korea, Canada, France, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Jordan, Palestine, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Borat.

That is Democrat style partnership.

The jobless rates are good, interest rates are good, the GDP is very strong, the housing market is finally coming down, the DOW is at record highs, we are trading extremely given import to GDP. Spending is at a good healthy rate. And the economy is crappy out? OK!

Of course the rich are getting richer and no Democrat can be happy with that.

The top 10% rich pay 50% of the taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of the taxes for the gov't.

You know, John Kerry, his tax bracket for his net worth of 700 million dollars, should have been nearly 40%. But he got one of the best tax lawyers the nation has and he paid a whopping 15%. Hy-po-crit.

Conservative ideas always win. But lie beral ideas FEEL so much better. Abortions for all!

The second part was completely legit, no sarcasm. The first part was ironical, but you got the point.

hey Jeff:

do you really think John Kerry is the only rich guy that only paid 15% ???? you dont think all the other insanely rich people are skimping on their tax bills too????? what would the goverment really be gettting in tax revenues if they "really" paid what they owe???????????? but that will never happen with the millionaires club (GOP) in charge of things.

how about Dicky why dont you look at his assests and his tax bill ! ahhhh I hate it when that happens!

Kerry -> socialist -> high taxes -> worms his way out -> hypocrit.

He won't even practice what he believes, don't you get it? The hypocrasy in the DNC and liberalism runs straight to the top. Your argument is actually self destructive.

I though you were talking about income tax. I'm sorry I assumed your father had a regular job and was not lotto winner. My mistake.

I was using that as an example that I knew you would be aware of. Are you under the impression that a lottery winner is not paying "income" tax ????

in order to dodge their fair share of taxes you must hire (if they will accept you of course) the best accountants & lawyers that know the loop holes, off shore investing, getting government energy grants with low or no interest etc. etc etc

The middle class income earner making 150-250K a year is not going to have access to such

hell I know I pay alot more than 15% of my income

It's usually called the lottery and gaming tax. I have neer heard it referred to as income tax.

hell I know I pay alot more than 15% of my income
Yet John Kerry the socialist that is for high taxes uses every loophole he can. So as you put it, he dodges his taxes. Talk about "do as I say, not as do."

The "lottery and gaming tax?" That must be a state thing, because everyone pays federal income tax on lottery winnings above a certain threshold in the US.

Correct. Most states do in fact have a lottary and gaming tax, on top of the regular income. Some times tax rates on lottary winnings have been known to top 65%!

But I really don't see the point, I though we were supposed to be speaking about regular taxes.

It's funny, I am actually with the Democrats on lotto taxes though
I personally believe that it is money that was not worked for, and I think that a >%50 tax rate is definately in order.

I don't really care one way or the other- I don't gamble and I wouldn't win if I did, so I don't have to worry about my "winnings" being taxed. :P

the really funny thing is that this thread is called "What Pres. Bush should do about Iraq" and we're talking about lottery taxes. I guess nobody else wants to talk about Iraq. :P
