Uh, are you serious? Republicans are gaining serious ground. When the latest AP polls came out 67% of respondants were dems, about 30% republicans, seriously scewed data. Look at the Zagby and Pew polls, Republicans are about breaking even. Even during elections the democrats ignore the truth. Not that I expected anything more of them.

I would say if anyone isn't acting it's the Senate, they has scarcly passed any serious bills...

God, you are gifted with a fine sense of humor, jeff! Right now the only ground the Republicans are gaining is the ammount of ground needed for a grave! The real issue is: "Can the Democrats deliver a meaningful alternative?" Face it. The day of the Republican Right is over. They are going to lose control of the House, and perhaps the Senate as well. If the Democrats can pull together a decent centrist platform, they can't help but win the mid-term elections and the next Presidential election as well.

I can tell you here in Buffalo, Reynolds will win for sure now, he did a great job getting FEMA in after the storm.

I am on a generator for a short while, so I have to keep things short.

There are about 700,000 people without power, 300,000 homes. There were trees down all over my road, and now flooding. Luckly, we ahve no flooding, and we have a gas fireplace, so we are warm.

God has really blessed us, through all kinds of events, causing us to stay warm, dry, and with hot running water.
