Republicans vindictively out another person with a protected identity

This administration never ceases to sicken me...

Joe Darby: Um, they actually … the military actually sent a few, I think they sent CID agents to do a security assessment of the area, to see, you know, what the local feeling was and to see if I'd be safe if I went there. And what they found was there was a lot of hard feelings and a lot of angry people, and some of the comments that have even been published about me the military did, you know, their security assessment was that I'm not safe there, I am under serious bodily threat.

Michael Rowland: After all the grief and the unwanted attention, Joe Darby says he'd do it all again.

Joe Darby: Yes, without question. It was the right decision and it had to be made, and the only question I ever had was exactly what to do.

They break the constitution in ever possible way, they use the information they gain at the top to terrorize those who question them, and they ultimately blaspheme by invoking the name of the Lord while they do these evil things. This is what happens when you give absolute power to corrupt people.

It boggles the mind all the crap this adminstration has gotten away with.
It has put this country in war and ruins. When you disagree, you are
un american. Fire the whole bunch and start handing out prison terms.

If only it were that simple... No, we've got an elaborate and stupid process for handling those who'd dare sully the Constitution and use God's name to "justify" their actions.

I just want to know what's holding people back.

This is the second time (that we know of) that they have used the sensitive information of their office, which we give them the privilege to handle, and used it to screw someone who spoke the truth.

The message is loud and clear:

If you report a mistake you will be reamed from on high.

So you see, any fool with access to a form of medium could have figured this out. No one was outed by the defense secretary. And where is the corroboration on that? We only have this soldier's side of him being outed.

Much like the rest of the liberal media, there is a quickness to latch onto any story that will bash Bush and blow it up into a terrible travesty. It is possible that Rumsfeld said this, but we need to have it confirmed by anyone other than the accuser. Valerie Plame was also outed in the media.

No one thinks you are unamerican if you disagree. It is your right to have youe opinion and to voice it. But if you think the country is in ruins, then I truly feel sorry for your situation.

If I remember right it was good ole scooter that leaked the Plame info,,wonder
why, those chickens have not come home to roost yet. Scooter is singin
like a songbird. It would not shock or suprise me if the troops ID wasnt
leaked as well, with good ole rummy throwing it out there to make it
stick.

I personally loath rumsfeld >>>> he weilds power almost like a Czar; squashing any bug that dare to devy him whether it be a general for disagreeeing with him or a boot that dare to blow the whistle on disgusting cirsumstances.
I find him scary, arrogant and possessing severley clouded judgement >>>> just the statment he made to the troops about "fighting with the army you have and not the army you want" made me puke; he was soooooo indignate about the whole truck armor deal >>>> not to mention why did the journalists have better Body armor then the troops >>>> hell some troops waited forever in field for their body armor yet the journalists arroved with theirs.

I wish the grunts could grab him and take him on a patrol into the sunni tria-angle for a month

The New Yorker may have speculated but Rumsfield made it official and announced it to thousands of soldiers who don't read the New Yorker, but do keep track of the words of the secretary of defense bry. Rumsfield outed him, plain and simple.
