Who was he debating? He was attacking an invisible schema to try and change it by using repetitive suggestion. They used to call it brain washing I believe.

That's all good in the debates where a counter voice exist, but it's inappropriate in a state of the union to scare the crap out of people with that same technique.

At this point, the president is "debating" 71 percent of Americans, and the rest of the world. He just happens to be wrong, as usual. (Typical of his entire life, but hey, that's another thread.)
