Re: The New TSF Surgery - Home of Dr. Glas.

easy remedy for blocked ears DC - have the surgery I had few years back for "surfer's ear syndrome" where they cut your ear adrift from the side of your head, strip the skin from the ear canal and give it a rebore with a (dunno whether it was a Makita or Ryobi) cordless fitted with a 1/4-3/8" drill bit!!!!

Re: The New TSF Surgery - Home of Dr. Glas.

DC if you want to unblock your ears the best thing is to get a piece of string about 600mm (2 feet) long and tie a piece of cleaning cloth in the middle then thread the string in one ear and out the other then holding each end of the string in each hand pull the cleaning cloth through one ear and out the other. Do this several times to do a good job.
PS I learned this trick spying on Dr Glas.

Re: The New TSF Surgery - Home of Dr. Glas.

I'm a substitute at a daycare, but can't go back in until I'm over this cold. It's a minimum wage job and I don't get any benefits at all. If I can work 20 to 30 hours a week, I might be able to afford my rent, but it looks like I might not be able to work at all this week.

The fever's gone, but I have a bronchial cough and congestion that's hanging on. I also had some stomach issues yesterday, which adds up to enough symptoms to suspect H1N1. Unfortunately I can't afford to go anywhere to get it confirmed or treated.

Psst: Hey Glas... I've a few left over pigeon legs & beaks - do you want them for your 'Spare Parts' surgery?

Psst: Hey Glas,

I have a new line in hearing aid ear implants to help the hard of hearing...

I can let you have a dozen pairs very cheaply - a good markup for your practise!

Re: The New TSF Surgery - Home of Dr. Glas.

Thanks for the good wishes. The assisting surgeon told me it would take about a year for everything to heal and that I should not take anti-inflammatories during that time. He told me they interfere with the vertebrae fusing.

My range of motion nodding and tilting my head is very limited, but I can turn my head side to side without pain further than I was able to before the surgery. I also have less pain in my arms.

Ok, congested so much I can't breath again. Time for another dose of Nyquil and the nap that causes.

Re: The New TSF Surgery - Home of Dr. Glas.

Good evening all

Might try that if the Dr. can do any better, I have been told it may take four to six weeks to get them back to norm. I thought about using a toliet plunger, it works good on toliets.

Gistek, isure hope you get well very soon, I'll be praying for you.

Glas. I just put on some Bob Seagar for you.

Hay DonaldG, I just got a big packet from the American Radio Relay League, it a start ha....

Well Folks, got lots to do tomorrow, so I am off to bed. So be good, be well and don't take any wooden nickels.
