The rules are simple; start with a word/s beginning with the letter A, and work through the alphabet to Z, with each word following the theme. The person who posts the word that begins with ‘X’ gets to pick the theme of the next round.
As I’m certain many of you will recognise, this is really just an evolution of the ‘ ABC's of food’ thread which I really like the idea of and I’ve had this suggestion in the back of my head to see if we can get some more mileage out of it. Naturally, the rules for this game will probably evolve themselves over time (depending on how long it lasts), but I’m thinking that, if the person who posts the ‘X’ word doesn’t indicate the theme for the next round, then it falls to the ‘Y’ poster, and failing that, the ‘Z’ poster, and subsequently the ‘A’ poster, however, if there hasn’t been a new theme defined by then, the theme rolls over and we have another round on the same theme as the last round. The other thing I was thinking was that, unless specifically indicated by the theme chooser, fictional instances are allowed – a reference would be handy (book title/TV show/etc) for anything that’s not fairly obvious, but I’m sure we all know how to use <insert name of your search engine of choice> and <insert name of your online encyclopaedia of choice> well enough to find out ourselves if we REALLY need to (it IS just a game, after all). I’ll kick off with: ACTORS & ACTRESSES Anthony Head |
