Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
Hay Mcninjaguy, I wonder just how old that Young Cathy is????
![]() ![]() Now I am a long 57 but still feel 30 sometimes but in real world 160 . But you know Carry Grant I think had it figured out in "Operation Petticoat". He Said when a woman is 21 and below- she is protected by law. When she is 40 and above she is protected by mother nature. Anything in between is fair game!!!!! ![]() ![]() I wonder what he would have said now that the law say 18 to 55. ![]() Ua. Mcninjaguy, how did the job thing go or have you gone yet? Wanted to ask to; I noted you flight a 64 bit Vista machine, do you have a comparison note between a 32 bit Vista machine for us still stuck in the dark ages. OK Sandy you have enor for to long where is you and Werebo ????? RUFF RUFF !!!!! And where is that Jack Sparrow At. Hay Jtp I have a picture of you new MotorCycle, Going to give you a glimpse of it tomorrow.

I'm still in 'n' out DC, I've been 'occupied' with my 'foster-dog', Guinness, who's been holidaying with us for the Christmas/New Year

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
No, Guinness is our 'foster-dog'. 13(ish) years ago, a young guy came around my local market, asking people if they wanted any puppies - he was moving home and pets weren't allowed.
Mrs WereBo and I were severely tempted with this tiny fluff-ball which could literally sit in the palm of our hand, she was the 'runt' of the litter. Our circumstances meant we couldn't have a dog, but our friend, who has a stall on the market said she'd have her, although she was working all day - so, the 1st 6 hours away from her mum was spent with us nursing her, until she could be taken home. We've always made a point of playing with her when we see her and taking her for walks, and these last few years have been good enough for her owner to take extended holidays for Christmas/New Year. Guinness is waaay too old to go into kennels, so we're more than happy to give her a proper holiday of her own

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
@DC
Cary Grant would be one Lady Machine if he lived how the law is now! I've been using Vista 64 bit since late 2007, so pretty much a couple months after it came I started using it. It had lots of driver issues and I had to switch anti virus programs and a couple other things. Winrar still doesn't like me too much but most of the time its agreeable. Currently I would say Vista 64 is better than 32 bit just if you're a gamer, or use a lot of CS4 or someting that has a lot of ram. I have 4 gigs of ram in my system and having lots of leftover ram is good but I probably couldn't use all of ram since most likely my 3ghz dual core will be the bottleneck. theres no need to get 64 bit right now but once a major windows release comes out (after Windows 7) it'll be worth it. |

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
now let me get this straight Werebo........... You have a dog name "Guinness " so you now have 'foster-dog' name "Guinness " but you can't have dogs.. Have you ever thought of starting a doggy baseball team and they them you have a team of baseball plays living with you or it could be a team of footkicking players/

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
@ DC - There's just the one Guinness, our foster-dog. At the time, I was out of work, living in a 1st-floor flat (apartment) and the neighbours kids on the estate have a nasty habit of throwing bottles etc. around, meaning lots of broken glass for paws to get sliced open with. That's why we decided not to have a dog of our own.
Here's Guinness still enjoying her Christmas Present - a beef leg-bone, a.k.a 'Postman's leg' ![]()

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
Now that is pressious, my friend. That kindof mad me cry and miss the one's I lost in SC. and my cat to I miss them so much, it seems like part of me is gone. They trun out to be more family to me than my on son, daughter and x-wife. Now I wish that I could put mom out in the dog house on a lice and bring Hansom in the house, mom started bull again tonight mad me and dad nervious just because I fix the trap door for hansom to go in/out on the porch that dad had installed for a previous dog they had. Hay I take it that that the quilt Guinness was on was the miss. I have one hand made like that, one that my grandmother had made for me when I was little, and yes I was little at one time. ![]() ![]() Can't remember when though. I have been bless not having to live in apt very long. Believe me, I go stur crazy in an apt.to many things(bad thing go's on there), to clothed in. But it is a good place to find friends, problems is some have no respect has you said for your privacy / property / or pet has you do and seem to foster other friends with even worse thoughts.

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
those old ones are cool, they almost look like a regular bicycle!
@Werebo ohh Guinness must be having the best doggy dreams after eating that Bone! Aww so did you move from that apartment to a new one with no kids throwing bottles? I love animals, my bro has the craziest Boxer doggie its name is "Ceilidh" pronounced Kayleigh or Kaylee. Its got Springs for legs! I was outside throwing the ball for and it would jump around 6 feet or so to get over the non compact snow! It has a really short coat of hair so it would want a 5 minute break inside the house every 20mins or so since its pretty cold out there.. This would continue for about an hour or so of going outside then inside, outside - inside - outside - inside. Since its still about less than 2 years old it has one HYPER attitude. I can keep it from jumping but it can jup about 4 feet in air to lick my face (all 4 paws off the ground) constantly. I love the doggie and its crazy! Its so different from girlfriends doggie Oakley (yes just like the sunglasses) the dog is beautiful Flat coated black lab (I'll post a pic at the bottom). Its a big suckup doggie trying to look cute and its bark is way stronger than its bite since its bite is non existant. I just love how different dogs personalities are. The golden Lab there Dusk passed away about a month ago she was 16 or 14. Gentle doggy always hungry! I think I wanted to say something else but I forgot Last edited by Mcninjaguy; 01-02-2009 at 12:49 AM. |

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
I've had to attack the bone, several times, with a hammer and chisel for Guinness, the knuckle at the end was just too big for her to gnaw on
![]() I'm still in the same apartment (27 years), but I'm hoping for an urgent transfer early this year, to another area of S E London. The Tuesday before Christmas, a bunch of kids attacked me as I got out of my car when I got home from finishing the 'Santa Run', and knocked out several front teeth - with more to go as they've been badly loosened. My Christmas dinner consisted of chicken soup, with most other meals being soup of some sort or another - I can't chew anything without severe pain, even a glass of beer is a no-no but luckily, I can still cope with decent single-malt scotch (which also helps keep the gums sterilised, as they're too tender to brush properly and any toothpaste has me screaming on the ceiling). The police can't do anything, as I couldn't get enough of a description to identify them, other than they were aged from approx. 12-18(ish) and there were about 14-18 of them, punching, kicking and shoving me around. The police admitted that, even if they were caught and charged, the courts would just give them a slap on the wrist and a telling-off!!! I suppose I should feel lucky, I didn't end up being stabbed or worse.

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
They are cowards when so many pick on one. Just scum. I would have a large German Shepherd in your situation they are very faithful and very protective then see how brave they are.
We had a Ridgeback - German Shepherd cross and later a pure bred German Shepherd and one day when my Wife was home alone (I can't remember which dog it was) we had a guy who we knew (but the dog didn't) come doing a survey and he sat one side of the table and my Wife at the other answering his Questions for his survey. Well the dog knew she wasn't allowed in that room but she came in and got under the table between the guy and my Wife and though the guy was a decent bloke if he had put one foot wrong the dog would have protected my Wife with its life. |

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
I did think about that, but if the dog bit anyone, the Courts would order it to be destroyed. Or the brats would poison it - that's already happened to a couple of other residents on the estate.
They are definitely cowards though, several months ago, 3-4 of them were giving my 83-year-old neighbour a lot of verbal grief, so I ended up chasing three of them across the estate with a pickaxe handle. Even when I threw it down, they still wouldn't face me in a fair contest.
