Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v

I don't mean to break The party but I hope and pray I will be back to morrow to be with you guys and gals. Mom blow a gasket, then dad. I honestly don't know if I can take this any more. I am going to lose a lot if I move but wrote them a letter and going somewhere for the night, if they want me to stay I will but something has to change. Ther is no sence in all this. But if they want me to move. I will shut down my stuff ASAP and put it in storage or my stuff will get broken. Give I can last the next three months here I am going to found an apartment, trailer, or something to live in with my doggy friend.

Awwww DC, I'm sorry to hear that the home-situation has taken a big turn for the worse

It seems that it's got to the point where, although you can still respect and love parents, you need to 'lay down the law' and tell them straight, that you can't cope with both your own situation and their constant harassment - they need to change their attitude or they're gonna be in a far worse situation when you're gone.

I pray that things improve for you at home or, if you do move, you find somewhere that's a lot more suitable for you and Hansom.

Good luck and hurry back here, we'll try and keep the surgery patient queues down 'til you return again.

I'm not really a religious person DC but my prayers do go out to you Same with you Gistek!

its funny how after wanting to get away from your parents when you're a teenager/early adult and they wouldn't mind their own freedom again that it all kinda comes back if you have your parents with again.

DC make sure your doggie Hansom has a nice park and some place t orun where ever you move!

@Werebo - Your Avatar cracks me up everytime I see it, I think I just broke a rib!

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v

Well, I am back and still here, for now. Believe it or not I took your advice and did some talking. But they woke up the next morning and acted as though nothing ever happen. Thats the way it is with folks that have Alzhemer's. I didn't sleep to good last night and feel like a guy with a big hangover. And yap! you are right, things did get bad. Had to take dad's gun away from him. O don't worry, I took the firing pin out of the gun months ago and put my stuff in a safe place where he can get to it but I can. We went to Rayans like nothning had happen and they even wanted to go to wally-world to shop. Du................................ Hansom had a talk with me and relex me quit a bit this morning and would not leave myside all day even for food and water. First time I had seen him play with his squeky toy I got him, made me laugh. I also had a talk with some of the neighor friends who are going to help me out and come over sometimes, giving me a break to get out for a evening. that should help. Maybe see my new girl friend.

Hay! was out getting a few things to fix the shop lights and got into a good talk with a very nice women who is a manager of one of the biggest autodealers, She told me she like me and ask if I would care to have lunch with her some times just shoot the bull around. she gave me her number and name. Now! what am I going to do with two girl friends.

BTW Werebo went ahead and orderup the DSL and because I am disabled, They gave me a 15% cut off the Phone bill price, I will be paying just about the same for DSL as I would have for me dailup service.

Hay Mcninjaguy, Like to assist in some sugery? and I am bringing in a class of Students t observe, they are training to be undertakers,

Hey DC I'm glad things have settled down for you. I knew your Mother had alzheimer's but I wasn't sure if your Dad had it too. Poor guy you really have your hands full. My mother-in-law had it but she was terrible before she had it (she would always interfere) then when she got it she was easier to manage. Different people get it in different ways, some people can get violent.

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v

We all have our crosses to bear and although the circumstance may be totally different, they are all very real and very life changing. It is comforting that we can come here to TSF and share with our "friends", get advice, and encouragement. I know that being a part of this "family" really means alot to me and I just want to thank you all!

I suppose you don't know that my oldest daughter now rents an apartment across the way from me. Her four kids were living here with us and it was just too much. One bedroom apartment, me & husband, 2 large dogs, our cat, their cat, their turtle, other daughters cat and other daughters bird. 2 of melissas kids (Kelly & Dwayne were living with other Grandma but she passed away unexpectedly the end of October.) Now, before Melissa's 4 were living here, other daughter Amy and her 3 plus 2 of Melissas were here (5 kids, 3 adults). Well, Amy's story? Her husband of 10 years unexpectedly passed 2 yrs ago of acute pancreatitis. Of course it destroyed her and I helplessly watched her start to self destruct. She had been having run-in's with Child Protective Service who did come and take her kids away a couple months ago.

I am happy to say that Amy has been in rehab and is gettiing ready to "graduate" the program. I just pray she is strong enough now to go it on her own. She has been doing the steps and has been receiving grief counseling. And she will be getting her kids back too. Melissa on the other hand, I truly believe is bi-polar but at least she lives close enough for me to be here for the kids. A stay in re-hab wouldn't be bad for her either but she needs to realize she has a problem.

All this seems to keep me out of trouble and I am greatful for that!

Hay DC wanna meet up in Montana? LOL You probably wouldn't like me though cause I am a rollie-pollie-oldie ............

If you're looking for those pictures, have you tried Google-images? type in what you're looking for into Google ('Indians hunting buffalo' or 'beached pirate ship', for example), then click on the 'Images' link near the top of the page at the left-hand side.

You shouldn't need Sandy's cutting saw, I'm after a 'Complete body transplant, arms, legs etc. included - the ones I have occasionally give me some grief, since getting a slightly mashed on my bike, 14 years ago.

Hello all. The webhost I use just added WordPress to their services, so I've moved my neck problems blog there. Here's the new link.

Barb's Neck Blog

I also added a link to it in the old one. I thought about staying with WordPress.com, but the FAQ says that the free blog has an limit on how many images are permitted. Using the service on my webhost will let me post as many images as I want.

DC I feel so bad for you with your parent problems. Alzheimers is very difficult for family and friends. I don't think I could handle it at all.

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v

Thanks for the tip Werebo on the google thing, i will take a look see to night.
Werebo, now just be pasion. We will get to the other parts--- you know the doctor here are super experts and very professional. You might be suprised how you trun out.
Gistek I think the love for them is what drives me to take care of them and some how I know this is also a test for me. I have taken a few classes they have offered taking care of alzhemer's parents at the hospital. My doctor gave me a bunch of books on dealing with them and then he said good luck. Put he did offer some programs that may help me with them. I have a very good Dr. that will talk with me on those problems when I need him and between God and there help and my very good friends here I will get through this.
They really love me and I know it. When I was 4 they found a hole the size of a silver dollar in my heart, I was getting only 10 % of the oxg to my brain and they though I was going to need an operation. Most of my friend thay had this problem have died. They adopted me from birth and made sure I had the best doctors, toys. I also had a very high IQ but regular school was boring to me so I fail me classes up to I was in the 9 grade, But at the same time I was in the hands of some very well know world scinetest in Huntsville, Al. doing quantum phys. Math which help my health. Even thought they did not like my chose of sports (motorcross and dardevil) They didn't push me and support my desires. I broke their hearts at times like most teens but they stuck to me. It time for me to help them. I might not have a lot of friends or girlfriends and my health ant to good here, but I have my work, desire to learn how to do graphic art things on the computer all the things I do to keep my sanity. But most of all I have God watching over me with Blessings when I do it right. The doctors say I don't have much time left here because Of the heaart thing. Put I say I will live as long as God want me to and what better way to be bless then to Bless the onces that bless me. This is there bad time but I Have to see it throu for better or worst. I do love them so.

You know That might be fun Cathy but I am a butter ball and not a hole lot to see either. I thought about seeing Japan and Sandy country before moving there but They the way the world is going, might better stay here, and do my stuff here. maybe I get a movie made from my books, then I can go to Japan and knok on Sandies door with Hansome by my side to meet Charlotte.

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v

you know what last time I think I never actually got my surgery from the last thread.

I think I wanted a girafee on my chest and some extra arms.

@DC ohh no I couldn't be an undertaker. when I would talking to people about all I would do is snicker from making the corpse smile and other stuff people would be freaked out. Yea I had the same problems in high school with failing classes I just couldn't concentrate on all the junk that the teacher wanted us to do. homework everyday, boring tests and such a drawnout workload that you forgot everything by the time the year or semester was over.

@Gistek - I've started to read your blog there, and I have it bookmarked. I think the closest I've come to back or brain injury happened twice.
First time in kindergarten someone pushed off a dome(monkey bars) at the top and I fell flat on my back. im sure if I feel anyother way my back would've been screwed up but since the impact was spread nothing serious ever occured

second time I was at my cottage and I was the landing dock (just a concrete ramp) and I was climbing over semi ruined concrte which I guess useed to be storage or something. long story short I fell on a 6 inch spike back of my head first and had to have 6 stitches on my scalp. I'm still surprised by the thickness of my skull (im also a pretty stubborn person so I have a thick head in both senses)

It is a wonder they didn't expeal me from Highschool. I am the only one that I know of, with getting away with riding a motorcross bike with cut outs throu the hall ways during class hours.
Gistek I have not had the chance to read the blog, cause I have been busy with the folks, fixing computers that lose printers hardware and software for family and neibors, not getting any gree for it put they do talk to otheers and that make money, Yes. --- It a wonder that I didn't get all broke up like Evil was. I honestly thought that motorcycles where going to be the death of me, go's to show you that the things you fear most and you think they are going to get you are not the once that do get you.

If I don't get back before Christmas I insist that everyone of you have a great Christmas. God Bless.
