Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
Sheeeesh Gistek, that makes my 1/4 of a left elbow seem mild by comparison
![]() I had about 3-4 courses of a brick buttress fall on me, in '78 - I instinctively threw my left arm up to prevent it hitting me in the face/head but it smashed my elbow to splinters. The Doc told me that, in a way, it was a good move, as the brickwork would have likely crushed my skull - as it was, the impact on my elbow pushed me out of the way. I managed to catch a bus to the hospital where they X-rayed it, then told me there's nothing they could do, apart from bandage the whole thing up and put it in a sling! Even now, there's still bits of loose bone-splinters floating around, causing my elbow to occasionally lock up on me. It sometimes gets nasty/embarrassing when I have a drink of something, my elbow refuses to move past a certain point and locks up - unfortunately, the liquid usually carries on moving - out of the mug and all over me instead! At least I can still carry heavy stuff, as long as I have my arm straight down, but I can't carry anything heavy with my arm bent to stop it dragging on the ground. I hope they manage to sort your neck out with physiotherapy, rather than having to resort to steroid injections - they can be extremely painful, according to my bro-in-law

Well, if you have a spare male body, in his early-mid 30's, I could do with a body-transplant! Failing that, a new-life transplant?

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
It took me a very long time but I finally got a snapshot of the "one eyed" troll I have. Looks like it may have been a football injury as he is a 49-er. His twin brother has both eyes. I was kinda hopin the good Dr.s could implant an eye like Sobeits bionic eye.
Of course, without saying I know I gotta come up with boatloads of moolah , how bout some old mexican pesos? ![]() Oh my looks like I better skidaddle over to Christmas Wish and ask Santa for a camera upgrade Am using my $20 web cam/video/snapshot no name brand or model number.....this is as scaled down and generic as it gets folks!

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
Sorry I could get the picture, wish I could have. Maybe we can fix your troll, I understand they have a lot of parts leftover from the movie I, Robots. Some of them keep asking "Is it safe yet!!!" But I am sure once we get a good picture of your troll we can fine a good eye for him.
Well you have to excuss me but this nerve med's the Dr. put me on is taking effect. The last two days with my mom has really got me nervious. Every few minutes she has been trying he best to cause much trouble. God Bless Cathy.

Barb's Neck
For some reason only part of the URL making code got published. So I'll try again. I made screen shots of three of the MRI images and put them in today's post. We went to visit my husband's mother at the hospice. She's not doing so well. I didn't do too bad, pain wise yesterday, but my right shoulder aches today. I must have slept wrong on it last night. Today hasn't been too bad, so far, but I haven't done much typing or housework yet.

Mmmm, although I'm no doc or had any medical training, the pinching is obvious in several places. It looks the sort of condition that could take months of work to ease, or you wake up one morning and the discs have eased back into their rightful place, never to trouble you again.
I'm praying for the latter option for you.

Hehehehe...
![]() Our Queen is getting a bit short of cash nowadays, 'The Family' sold their royal yacht 'Brittania' years ago and the Queen even pays taxes now. She might well be interested in some sort of deal, but only if it means money going into the royal purse. Mrs WereBo recommends moving to Montana, she loves it there, when she goes on her 'teaching-lacemaking' tours in the USA. Up around Thompson Falls and Glacier Park is spectacular

If you want to see some of your beautiful scenery, try here: Link.
Wait for the 'Flash' images to load, then sit back and enjoy - I can see why you call it 'God's Own Country', there's some stunning scenery there

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
I was managing ok, more or less, up until the traffic accident. About a week after the accident I started having some tingling in my upper arm, so the dr sent me for pt. That was helping until the very end, when a cold spell made my neck tense. After that I started having a tingling/burning feeling in my left arm and sometimes in my upper back - mainly on the left side.
I believe that the problem due to the cold, and neck tensing, would probably not be as bad if that idiot hadn't tried to cut that left turn. Because of all the problems throughout my c-spine, I will probably need at least some surgery. I doubt just daily traction will help much. Traction at PT never helped for more than an hour or two.

Re: The Dr. Groucho, Dr. Chico & Dr. Harpo Thread v
Hey Barb,
After reading about your trampoline accident all I could think about was how close you probably were to being paralized. OMG Too bad you can't go back and nail the PE coach whose responsibility it probably was to realize that a sport injury like that required immediate emergency medical care. And then if people say sue their pants off...well that may sound like the solution to the people who are on the outside looking in, but no amount of money will change the way your body feels. Hang in there hun, you sound like a toughy and if we could take turns with you to give you a couple hours off, I am sure there are a few of us that would.
