As long as Hansome still loves you, everything should be fine. Plus, as good looking as that, maybe at least your dad'll quit riding your @$$.
(I doubt anything will stop your mom. Moms are like that.) OK. Time for the pain killers and muscle relaxant. See you all when I get back from la-la land.

Does Charlotte need an operation to cure that red rash on her head?

Re: The New TSF Surgery - All Welcome! v. Even more Fresh
Well a sure cure for a cold is.............let's see, I know it's here in this manual somewhere...ca, cellulite-no, chin-no, no page for cold....someone tore it out. But the cure must be the opposite of the mallady........so for cold.....must be heat.
Fire up the cookstove so dr. glas can ride the range.......and get him a hot toddy (and one for me too while you're at it). Keep up the good work DC and you will have the dr. feeling no pain and right as .........well............whatever update to the update regarding my pesos.......DO YOU KNOW the guy showed up at my house and bought the $18 pesos I had for the special deal I was offering of 1/2 the US cash value ...........so I got $1.00 what a hoot say, DC , do you ever use ebay for selling things? I do have some odds and ends, this and thats but I haven't got a clue what to do. I have, for example, a micrometer I know it is a calliper for things that require precise measurements but what would someone expect its fair value to be? |

Re: The New TSF Surgery - All Welcome! v. Even more Fresh
My usual trick is to browse the Ebay and see how much other folks want for similar stuff. I rarely sell on Ebay, but Mrs WereBo used to sell her handicraft stuff there (hand-made tatting and similar lace).
Ebay recently changed their rules though, anyone selling more than a couple of new items is now considered to be a business and are charged accordingly

Re: The New TSF Surgery - All Welcome! v. Even more Fresh
I have only bought on EBay and never have sold. With a Micrometer Cathy you need to get an idea of the new price of the particular brand of the micrometer eg. the quality. Have you tried a google?
EDIT: Here is an example of an Australian site also there are different sizes 1inch 2 inch also internal and external http://shopping.yahoo.com.au/xDN-too...al_micrometers Last edited by sandman55; 12-14-2008 at 06:24 AM. |

Re: The New TSF Surgery - All Welcome! v. Even more Fresh
I have only window shopped on ebay. And SURE ebay must be gettin their cut..er commission. I never thought about that. I would give up all my craft junk and maybe even my oldest daughter (now, now, if anyone took her I guarantee she would probably be returned before anyone noticed she was gone.............roflmao) to be able to get all the necessary equipment, supplies to make stained glass items again. So, I was looking at glass grinders (probably the most expensive item needed) and actually found a used one and put in a bid. The disappointing thing I noticed (this was just a couple months ago) is the Shipping and Handling charge. If you bid on something under say $10 it will cost you more than that in postage. And how about paypal. Someone is having to kick out some dough for their service. Buyer? Seller? Both? Oh yeah, someone outbid me on the glass grinder...oh well, maybe once I start getting my "apt. manager" pay (1-1-09 ,, so sorry Rosemary I am the manager again)(don't let the title fool you...more like owner/tenant liaison) salary $110 a month w/no rent allowance but we get to be at the top of the totem pole is this a run-on sentence, I will be looking for glass stuff again.
PS. wow Sandy, I just checked out the link you suggested...a glass grinder might be in my future after all....maybe even the soldering iron I will need. Last edited by Cathy95820; 12-14-2008 at 10:23 AM. |

Re: The New TSF Surgery - All Welcome! v. Even more Fresh
It's possible to get some very good bargains on Ebay, the trick is to find out how much a new item is from catalogues or on-line, and, as long as the Ebay sale price + P & P is less, then you can get a good bargain. Your statutory rights are covered if the item is faulty or not as described in the auction.
I've managed to get some very good bargains for my PC - case-lights, routers, modems etc. for far less than if I went up town and bought them from a shop - always check the seller's ratings though, don't buy from anyone who has a consistently bad rating. If you want to sell your stained-glass work, Mrs WereBo recommends 'Etsy' - It's an auction site, similar to Ebay, but it only deals in hand-made crafts and the charges are very reasonable, 20 cents to list an item for 4 months and just 3.5% of the sale price for auction fees - what you charge for P & P is not included
