It seems that when I found someone I can call friend around here, two or three days later their gone, either by job, moving and so on. People here are hard to meet. You either in with the crew or out. But like I have said, I gave that problem to the Lord, if it happens it happens but if it don't well so what! I have my books to read and write, my computer and my friends here and my folks to keep me busy and the shop so that is not to bad.there is alway a good reason for things.

Well I am in shock it's 99 f to day and I have only play spider solatair 3000 time this year. Did you know that there is 56 ways to play solatair.

Got some to tell you that you might get a good laugh at;

About three weeks ago, my X sent an E-Mail to me. Demanding that I give the money I had for the granddaughters school money I had in saving bonds to her. Now this is the woman that took 450,000 plus my retirement fund money and left me strained with house, cars and a whole bunch of other bills, hence I was force into bankruptcy 13, losing 90 % of it, hence now I am down here.
She sad I owed it to her. Now a week ago she tell me the her brother had to pay his x 900.00 a month and that I should do the same.
I send her an E-mail back saying; Devorce was finallize 7 yrs ago, you got what you wanted back then and It clearly states I ow you nothing, no the girls have already gotten there money for school and its theirs. Now my son tells me she is dating man left and right, which I had caught her doing that before we even devorce.
Now who in their right mind is going to take care of a woman that has done all that to them. I would have to be completely out of my mind!!!

Her another good one; went last night to a website to get and use a free webpage (geocities.com), I had a book telling how to set up a website page and inner lace it with HTML and links. When I got to Geocities it had two lines "We are not excepting any more members, Geocities is closing" talk about to late, O' well to bad so sad". Rats!!!!

I thought it was down funny for her to even think I was that stupid. But I did call a local lawyer for quick advice and he say the same, i have no fear from her. while we were married, she was alway trying to con me into getting mom/Dad into giving me money and we where doing fine or at least until she took all me money. But she is gone and time to start a new life, which I am trying to do, think I have come a long ways my friend. BTW how's the knee doing????

Well back to trying to figure out how to create this sys recovery disk. its playing with my mind. And it long over due to get it done.

My knee is doing fine and works perfectly. the only annoyance is that it is numb.

Man, I am about to lost my grits with this DSL modem

Werebo I agee with you and JTP a 1029% on that, after have the trouble with my leg getting cut off, it isn't no way I am going to inflict pain or hurt anyone, beside JTP is my Buddy and he know I would do that, Maybe Glas but not me.

Some flackey going on with this DSL modem, you can just tap it with your finger nail on the back side and it goes south for the winter.

JTP had another cold day 104 with heat index 117 and I've had to do some work outside the house, repair the toliet part, replace light bulbs, talk about hot, even the dog tried to run into house and did not want to leave.

Hay any of you's guys got Vista and have you created a sys recovery disk? after it ask for to insert a DVD disk, it come up in windows media and I do not know where or what to click on from there, I posted a thread in Vista but only got a half answer as to where to go to create the disk but nothing beyond that. Help!

I did have Vista but I've removed it and am now trying Windows 7.

Hi DC, I gotta remember back to when Mrs WereBo got her laptop with Vista, but you can either put the blank DVD in first, then when Media Player comes up, just close that down then start the recovery-disk wizard.

Alternatively, when you put the blank DVD in the tray, hold the 'Shift' key down when you close the drawer - The 'Shift' key temporarily stops the 'Autoplay' for that disk

Hay it appears that I had two problems; the modem had a loose connections and someone dug too deep with a back hole and broke a main Optical internet trunk line. Man came out and give me a new modem and just now got word that the line had been fixes.

O' Yes, We had a cool brezzes today 93 and it looks like rain outside. Anyone for fresh Boiled Peanuts ??? Hmmmm

@ DC. Windows 7 is the latest offering from Microsoft. Vista was a flop; a bit like Windows ME and Windows 98 before 98SE came out.

O' I see, Does it appear at the present time to be an inprovement over the others?, is it any faster or easyer to deal with?

Hay I finally got the create a sys. recovery disk set figure out and done JTP and Werebo. What I did was I went to HP help support, type in my product type and then a search for create recovery disk. It came up with 9 pages of step by step. I was doing two things wrong. One, you have to use a DVD+R disk. I was using a DVD+RW. Second, the one I ask about the Win Media Player thing; First you start the program create recovery Disk, Then insert the disk, When WinMedia Player come up you click the "X" at top and then next on the create a disk, after that it clean sailing. Thanks Werebo on that. you kindof gave me a push start on that.

Hay Hansom, sneak in the house and no one knew it til I saw a wackling tail under my beg. I didn't say a word then after the folk got to bed then I told him it time to go out and he went out with out a peep. He did not even try to do any of them doggy things in the house. Smart DOG!

Well with the temp down a bit I got to get the weedeating done and cut the grass again and water ever thing and put up a few florence light bulbs tomorrow.

Well done on the recovery disks DC You could use either type of DVD, but using the '+R' disks is safer, cos you can't accidentally overwrite them

Windows 7 is what 'Vista' should have been, if MS had done what they said in their pre-release ads and wafflings - Win7's a lot faster than Vista (on my machine), even with a lot of the eye-candy turned on. Also, a lot of the irritants have either been removed, mended or generally sorted out.

If you fancy having a play with it, and have either a lot of disk-space or a spare hard-drive handy, you can get it from here. It needs a blank DVD to burn the disk-image to (.iso). All the relevant info and instructions etc. is available from there, too
