Family Friendly Cable

Guess what, parents! The FCC is making it easier to be a parent by taking away the need to monitor what your children watch! This also means that Sports Center And O! are gone, yay?

Clicky.

I really just think it's stupid that people can't police themselves anymore. And parents have reached the point that they don't parent. You have a kid and plant it in front of a monitor. That's it.

Now the network sensors are going to start busting balls on all my favorite cable show. How 'bout this, instead of parking your kids in front of the TV and hoping it doesn't raise them the wrong way, you take responsibility for your own offspring and keep an eye on them yourself.

Forci is like, 14 or something. When I was very young may parents would allow me to watch only certian things on my own. Even then I'd hit the channel keys once they left the room! I'm in total agreement with what 40 said about taking an active roll.

The means to control what kids watch is already there, and if your kids are old enough to figure out how to remove them, then they should probably be allowed to watch whatever they want.

The FCC can kiss my rear end. People aren't so stupid that they need this kind of censorship, and if they are, they probably shouldn't be raising kids.

14, I'm 19 and I barely get half the jokes in that show. Sometimes they throw out a name and you're like "who the hell is Shirley Lane?" Then you turn to Nick at Nite and you understand lol.

Lol, the irony of mentioning family guy. Anyone see the eposide where they were making funn of the FCC?

It seems to me they are over stepping their role. Parents should take a more active role.
