Ok, I made a new one. I hate posting in a thread and ending up hijacking it.
This thread is for just random discussion. Basically the offline section, but all in this thread. I know that people here like to talk, ie the hijackers, so talk!

Why is it so dame hard to find a Carl's Jr. (Hardy's on the east coast) around here? There is like one in every town. They have the best fast food, but you just can't find one as much as you can find a Burger King or McDonald's.
Any one else try that new jalapeno burger? that thing is good.

it was allright, nothing to write home on. i like goint to sonic and getting a #2 chesseburger and adding jalapeno better. i think it has more bite.
oh wait, that right, my order is old school now, sonic here no longer has a #1 or #2 burger, its just menu #'s with either the mayo or mustard. i hate that. i guess too many people coundn't figure it out, so they had to dumbize the menu. i used to ask for a "#2 cheese w/jalapeno and tots", but now i have to say "a cheesebuger with mustard, please add jalapeno to it, and i want tots with that." only to then have them still ask if i want mayo or mustard. >end rant< speaking of burgers, has anyone else had bk's rodeo cheeseburger? i love the thing, and am lucky enouph to live next to a bk that still makes tnem.

ehh, I didn't like the cheese on the rodeo burger; threw it off. But have you tried an In 'N Out burger monster style? it's the shizznit, no other way to say it. You can also get the fries monster style, but I think that's a little much.

Do we have to talk about food?
What's more interesting is by how much Scotland will beat Ireland at rugby, and by how much France will wallop England!!

Ireland is going to kick your butt!
Have rugby teams ever thought about drafting NFL payers?

Nope, they'd be too soft.
Seriously though, the games are too different. The main things are that you can't tackle someone unless they have the ball, and you can't throw the ball forwards. Kind of diametrically opposite to football really, isn't it? I was disgusted by how we played against you heathen Scots, we played better than you but made so many stupid mistakes we didn't deserve to win. I still complained bitterly when we lost though. If we play like that against the frogs, we don't deserve to win that one either (although this is the ONLY time you'll ever hear me say the French deserve to win!) Oh, and 40s, think youself lucky you even have a Carl's Jr! Best burgers ever, yet not a single outlet in this country! Curse you!!! Oh yeah, GO IRELAND!!! ![]()

So... I just bought a camera- The Canon 300D. It's a digital SLR, and I'm completely new to the technical side of photography. I spent today figuring out how the ISO speed, shutter speed, aperture, etc. all play into the end result of pressing the shutter release button.
For some reason, the images don't seem nearly as sharp as with my old Olympus D-545 (4MP). This is even with a tripod and 30-second exposure (and pinhole aperture). It may just be that the Canon zooms farther into its images in the display. Oh, and to my dismay I've realized that the lens is a wide angle to such a degree that, zoomed all the way in, it sees things about the same way as the human eye. So I can pretty much forget about taking a lot of distance shots until I drop some money on a zoom or telephoto lens.

i don't like in and out. as far as the rodeo, here they use the same cheese that they use on all their cheese burgers. they had something different there?
as far as the slr goes fox, what lens are you using (in 35mm film 32mm lens is the same as your eye, so anything smaller is wideangle, and bigger is telephoto. what the digital equilivents are i don't know, but it seems that there is a 1.5x difference. this means a 50mm lens on a digital camera is the same as a 75mm lens on a film camera, so do the math.)? and what iso speed you using? the slower the speed, the sharper the photo, or so it is with film. and the bigger the f-stop(smaller apiture) the more depth of field(or more in focus). also, the longer the shutter is open, the more light gets in, so the more washed out it will look. this is all with film of course. i'm too poor to get a digital slr. i do have a kodak 5mp point and shoot, and it seems to take nice pics.

Was the same cheese, but American cheese, onion rings, and BBQ sauce don't taste that fantastic to me.
