Student commits suicide after being caught cheating

A 17-year-old student died after setting himself on fire Friday, a day after he was caught cheating in an examination, police said.
Narendra Barik, a resident of Gopalgaon village in the coastal district of Balasore, was caught while he was cheating Thursday by officials who inspected B.C. High School at Avana village where he was appearing for the examination.

"On receiving information about this, his parents reached the rented house Barik was staying with a group of students. They talked to him but perhaps they couldn't settle his mind and he decided to end his life," a police officer said.

As soon as Barik's parents left for home, he set himself on fire after pouring kerosene over his body, police said.

Barik was rushed to a local health centre with more than 60 percent burn injuries. The officer there sent him to a hospital where he died.jd/rhl

there are so many stories like that. is sad when people do that. but he probably also had something else wrong
