Teacher suspended

Teens' work gets teacher in mess

A presentation by two Lakeview High School students trying to warn classmates about the dangers of putting personal information on the Internet led to their teacher being escorted from the St. Clair Shores building because administrators thought pictures used in the project were too risque.

Myspace is great for meeting young, vulnerable women. They are so desperate for approval from someone, anyone, that it's easy for an amoral man to intice them into sex. And it's very easy for a 15-year-old girl to lie and say that she's 18, and have a relationship with a 40-year-old man, because nobody understands me but you.

Parents solution??? Block myspace from their computers. Or, actually monitor their usage. At my house, we allow no tv or computer or video games afeter dinner. It goes off when we sit down to dinner and not back on until they got to bed.

You're a good father, bry.

My parents wouldn't allow TV/computer time until we had done our homework and studies. As we got into high school that changed as I'd normally complete my work at school and my studying was just comprised of outlining chapters of my history book. I still got great marks and I also got time to goof off online.
