States are discovering an inexhaustible new source of revenue: a tax on speeding tickets

Wow...these programs seem more like government sponsored extortion than anything. Pay the fine for speeding, then pay this insane tax for three years. If you do all of that, we won't revoke your license.

They got the Mafia running the legislatures that passed these taxes?

Sounds like another tax on middle class America. The rich can afford it. The poor use mass transit. If I were to get pulled over in NY, I'd tell them to take that tax and stick up their rears. But, I owuld expect no less from the state that elected Hilary Clinton.

Here's another idea for the legislatures: you get a ticket in your home state - say Ohio (or any state for that matter since they're all be in on this). Then Connecticut gets notified of it. A few months later you get a letter from CT saying that since you're a "risky" driver and you might someday drive through CT, pay us $100 for the next three years or we'll let OH know and you'll loose you license...

Taxation without Representation. Where have I heard that before? Maybe it's time to see where they store the tea!!!

Unfortuantely I live in a red state and you in a blue one, they don't communicate well. Ohioans think CT is the state where all of the rich people in New York City move to to get away.
