I can't tell the difference. They probably will scratch lot easier, but in quality terms off brand works just fine for me.

never heard of Taiyo Yuden , i think same as Plextor ?
from the article , they seem to be the best in the market . i always use sony , one time i tried maxell and was a bad experience and went back to Sony .
