burning programs over 700mb...up to 2gigs

i have a few programs that i want to burn to cd that r bigger than 700 mb.......how do i use winrar and nero 7 ultra edition to do this......or....is there other programs out there that can simplify this for me..........

Nero 7 allows you to overburn certain CDs, but only to about ~720MB. You'll need to find another way to back up your programs. I'd recommend using a DVD recorder or a flash drive if you're going for removable/transportable material.

RVictim87 answered the first part of the question. I'll do the 2nd half

WinRAR is used to compress the files. You will not be able to make a 2GB file down to 700mb so it can be burnt on a CD. I suggest burning it to a DVD through a program such as WinDVD.

thats what i figured.........just wanted a second opinion.......my blank DVD's hold 2.4 gigs.......guess thats the way to go.........thx all
