xbox 360?

Hey,
I've been asked to help someone find an xbox 360 for xmas... I'm guessing it's a hopeless cause, should I bother, or are they prettymuch all gone. I don't want to spend my month tracking one down then get robbed by a crazy person after I find it.

unless you wanna go to europe , they are releasing them now :) go to their best buy and get yourself an xbox PAL version , and you have to buy a tv PAL version :) or get ripped at ebay !

Or Simply you could not buy an Xbox and save the money up and get a PS3 when it is realeased

I suppose ebay is probably your best chance but I wouldn't buy it there as people are bidding thousands of dollars a a game console.

Yep, I assumed there wasn't gonna be any point even looking. It's a really bad time for someone to want a console anyway, the older ones will be outdated soon, and the new ones can't be had.

Then there's the people who realize a product is going to have problems in its first release, and aren't going to try to weasle money out of a company through lawsuits.

Microsoft is accepting faulty systems in return for new ones through mail. Most people receive theirs in less than a week. The level of customer service MS is reaching for here dwarfs any other company, but noone wants to hear about that.

Law =/= justice if one pathetic whiner can get a huge settlement because he didn't get his toy when he wanted it. Welcome to life moron.

"I had the same great response. It's too bad people like that guy from chicago exist to sue xBox. They were very quick once I got ahold of someone on the phone and I got a new xBox within 3 days. That is service. I really want to hunt down that chicago idiot and hit him in the face."

Good Point !! I hope the PS3 doesn't have problems like this. I am a fan of Sony but I don't think I will be crazy enough to line up infront of stores for like 48 hrs.

There will be defects for sure, but Sony knows they had better be pretty flawless at release, or they will be criticized for "having tons of time and still not delivering." I think they're at least smarter than that.

Then again... I can't say how many PS2's my friend gets returned at Game Crazy. Although I think that's the purposeful 'lifetime' they give their systems so you have to purchase them multiple times.

Yeah suppose that's the main purpose big companies like Sony create.
