I've been pulled over a few times, mostly random checks late at night. I wasn't doing anything wrong but my heart rate shot up when the flashing lights appeared in the rear-view mirror. The best thing to do is turn down the music, stay calm and be polite. They don't like it when you get angry with them

I've also been pulled over for speeding, but if you cooperate they just issue a ticket and that's the end of it. I'm always tempted to do a GTA3 and pull out an uzi, but real life isn't like the games unfortunately.

I was pulled over once in Three Rivers, TX (small city south of San Antonio) for alleged speeding. I say alleged because I don't agree with what the cop said. I was traveling home with a friend on highway 35 N going at a steady 60mph. On both sides of me there were 18-wheelers. I drive a sedan so I can't really see past them and my x-ray vision wasn't working well (never does when it's hot) so I couldn't see the 45mph speed limit sign as I got near town. The trucks were still barreling past me when my friend told me a cop had flipped on the reds and blues. I pulled over and the cop took my license and insurance cards. He then noticed that my inspection tags were about 8 months over due. I tried to explain that I hadn't been using my car much (didn't have a job at the time) so I had forgotten to get new tags. He just slapped that onto the ticket. When I told him I honestly did not know that I was in a 45 zone and thought I was ok because of the trucks' speed. No dice. Total cost: $200. $60 for speeding and $140 for tags. I was pissed.

Koala, did you see that sketch on the Chappell show where he did a real life GTA? It was hilarious!!

We don't get Chapell over here, but it sounds good.

You should have reported those cops for incompetence... they pulled you over and let the 18-wheelers carry on speeding. Which was the greater danger to other road users?!

EDIT: Found the Dave Chappelle GTA clip

yeah, especially since it takes them so much longer to stop.
